I “think” they had that as the cover? Typical of NYC attitude about the rest of us.

I had a great-aunt who lived in Connecticut and had a nephew who lived in Bronxville (near Yonkers). She described where he lived as “upstate.”

Norman Mailer's plan was to make New York City the 51st state, so that would make Yonkers and all the rest "upstate." What would happen to Long Island, though, wasn't clear.

Well, he did do what he could to keep violence off the streets and in the home, where it belongs.

When you cross the Tappan Zee bridge you are upstate.

Anywhere but NYC or Albany?

Illinois - anywhere but Chicago.

Georgia - anywhere but downtown Atlanta city limits.

Etc.

Anything north of the Tappan-Zee Bridge

My in-laws in Rhode Island say that the Best Thing about NYC is the Tappan-Zee Bridge... it allows you to bypass the whole place!

True. It’s sad, but we are being taxed and charged for utilities out of existence. We are not going to retire here for those two reasons. Looking for the most conservative area of KY to buy a retirement house.

We have relatives who own a farm south of Danville, KY.

The school systems there try to convince the kids they are supposed to be liberals but if you drive out a little ways you will find the pickups with the Confederate flags and gun racks.

Since Cuomo signed the SAFE Act in the dead of night - well, nobody should have a gunrack in their truck anymore ... not if they know whats good for them! I hate liberals SO BAD now.
