I didn't know until this morning; just read that FEC was interested as well; if these affairs are true, that could spell the same legal troubles for those involved that Edwards experienced. Does it dovetail with Heidi's police incident in a plausible timeline ? It would cause a normal wife deep distress.

Maybe because it's tabloid trash and even though it is almost certainly complete BS, Trump supporters (such as yourself) want it out there because they hope it will tarnish Cruz even though it highly unlikely to be true.
Too bad for you Trumpsters this isn't likely going to have any effect at all, and may just look like more attacks from Trump supporters on Cruz's wife garnering him sympathy and helping him defeat Trump in Wisconsin (second poll out today showing Cruz beating Trump in that next primary state).
Trump and his allies appear to be getting a bit worried his nomination will be derailed.
I would like you to back up the men from Mars statement in regards to National Enquirer.
Other tabloids have posted stuff like that but nothing I remember from National Enquirer.
There may be some, but it’s definitely not something they are known for.
