In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
Panoply
Noun
2. Ceremonial attire with all accessories: a portrait of the general in full panoply.
3. Something that covers and protects: a porcupine's panoply of quills.
4. The complete arms and armor of a warrior.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Toomey is up for re-election to the Senate. Trumpkin types surely hate him for discussing background checks with Manchin.
3 way race for Democrat nod, including the ridiculous Braddock mayor. He’s running ads about how he bucked the world to officiate at a gay marriage when its legality had not yet been established. Can’t see that doing much for him.
It’s hard to fight inertia in the culture. But you’d think some pastors or bishops would think of this.
Heck, you could do the March for Life on this date. Better weather for it.
as you know I was born there, as was my dad [and your’s IIRC?] it is humiliating that there is such a mayor from Braddock.
yes, having the March then would be a terrific idea, there is invariably a snowstorm interfering in January.
Mine was in North Braddock. Born at home.
yes, that’s what I meant. is the mayor of Braddock not mayor of NORTH braddock? it’s a separate jurisdiction?
we lived directly across from the firehouse. I remember the sirens back in my dim early memories. we moved when I was 3.
what dirt are they claiming on Ted Cruz and his wife? do you know? trumpkins on other threads alluding to a national enquirer story not yet published.
The [pro-life] Orthodox Church celebrates the Feast of the Annunciation every year as a matter of course, even if it falls on Holy Week!
In 2016, our Pascha (Easter) falls on May 1. So Annunciation is a kind of oasis early in Lent, just before the Sunday of St.Gregory Palamas!
The pro-life community should celebrate BOTH Annunciation and the Nativity, as well as the commemoration of the Holy Innocents that follows shorty after Christmas.
You’re not familiar with the provincialism of western PA?
Yes, North Braddock is a separate borough from Braddock.
Irwin isn’t North Irwin. And Greensburg is neither South Greensburg or Southwest Greensburg.
I believe it has to do with her having post-partum depression and possibly being a “danger” to her children.
It’s all rumor, of course, and even if it isn’t, attacking someone for a mental health issue isn’t a winning strategy.
just saw someone on a thread refer to cruz as being a serial adulterer. if true, it would be at odds with his Christian image, but don’t see how this would distinguish him in any way from Trump or Hillary, who put up with it and alternately paid off/threatened the “bimbos.”
so the police report account of her near a freeway on ramp was related to post-partum depression?
well recall that I never lived in western PA as a tax paying adult. I left immediately after college, so wasn’t very cognizant of much, politically.
Adultery claims were being circulated about Rubio, too. as well as him being gay. I put little stock in them.
I haven’t heard about any freeway thing, but I would guess so.
Bottom line, even if his wife has depression, that isn’t exactly all that unusual in our Prozac world.
Saw side by side pics of Heidi and Marlena. Heidi looks mean and Marlena looks like a model. I’ll take a real women over a poster wife.
A++++
Nice. Our Bishop will be here today, too. A++
yes Trump posted it to show he has the hotter wife. RME. maturity of a 12 yo on display 24-7.
yes, saw those about Rubio too, found them less than credible. depression is common, as is adultery. Trump, as a notorious womanizer, benefiting from Cruz adultery seems ludicrous, but to his supporters, nothing is ludicrous.
