Am I losing my mind?

Posted on 03/15/2016 10:01:50 AM PDT by uscga77

Am I losing my mind? Donald Trump gives me the creeps at times. He offends my Christianity. His persona turns me off. He can be all other the map in terms of consistent principles. But there is something inside of me that wants him to kick the stuffing out of the powers that be. Even though I am a Cruz man I could see myself voting for the guy. Am I losing my mind?

No, you’re not losing your mind. However, you may indeed be in the midst of an attitude adjustment that would make you less of a “maturity snob”.

“Then don’t vote for him. See it’s easy.”

I will, and will be happy to do so...

Curious, you post these two or three sentence threads but respond very seldom. Do you get
enjoyment out of reading the responses?

Then you'd likely be turned off by some of those God chose to pick as leaders in Biblical times as well. Some of those dudes make Trump look like a saint!

Here some excerpts from a previous post about midnight last night that really got me thinking:

Don’t you ever wonder why the GOP has never tried to impeach Obama? Don’t you wonder why John Boehner and Mitch McConnell talk a big game, but never actually try to stop Obama? Don’t you wonder why Congress holds the purse strings, yet has never tried to de-fund Obamacare or Obama’s clearly illegal executive action on amnesty for illegal aliens? Bizarre, right? It defies logic, right?

They surveil everything. Thirdly, many Republicans are petrified of being called racists, so they are scared to ever criticize Obama or call out his crimes, let alone demand his impeachment. Fourth, why rock the boat? After defeat or retirement, if you’re a good old boy, you’ve got a $5 million-per-year lobbying job waiting. The big-money interests have the system gamed. Win or lose, they win.

But Trump doesn’t play by any of these rules. Trump breaks up this nice, cozy relationship between big government, big media, and big business.
Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick. Good question!

Yes, it’s become open season on Donald Trump. The left and the right are determined to attack his policies, harm his businesses, and, if possible, even keep him out of the coming debates. But they can’t silence him. And they sure can’t intimidate him. The more they try, the more the public will realize that he’s the one telling the truth.

This is only about 1/3 of the post, but enough to make ya think.

Trump will have to support the R platform. Thanks a lot for your vote, or half vote, for Clinton.

Dumb$hit.

“Even Cruz’s statement to support the nominee won’t satisfy most Trump supporters on this forum”.

Maybe because Teddy knows the GOPe and his slimy friends Rubio and Kasich are planning to deny him the nomination.

Not at all. I am for Cruz but I’ll gladly support Trump over the establishment. I would still like to see them get together in the end. Any Republican that could vote for Hillary deserves to be outed.

This is America. I’m just happy you vote. In this day and age, it is a rarity.

I was simply pointing out that death for the unborn and state-sanctioned death are both immoral. Politicians like to talk about one, but then they are silent on the other.

Cruz had potential. That is until he decided to surround himself with the RINO bush/MSM political machine. Pulling the alinsky tactic of blaming Trump for the dem tactics perpetrated in chicago was the final straw. Accuse the accuser, shoot the messenger, lynch the whistleblower are all dem socialist tactics, and cruz went all in with it in an attempt to garner support amongst the GOPe royalty by embracing those tactics.

I don’t believe we will vote ourselves out of the mess we’re in, either. I still vote(for how much longer I don’t know), but its a forlorn hope.

“Teddy offends me just looking at the slimy, lying bastard.”

And then a Trump supporter posts something so offensive that I wake up and think twice about it.

Anybody but Clinton, EXCEPT a RINO forced upon us by the GOP elites. They’ve done nothing to reward our loyalty, thinking that we have nowhere else to turn, but loyalty is a 2-way street.

He offends my Christianity too. Making decisions out of anger and a thirst for revenge is generally ill advised. You are not out of your mind you are human. Anger is a powerful emotion, but love is stronger. My love for the unborn and the word of God is stronger than my anger and I will not be voting for Mr. Trump.

So who will you vote for? You sound like one who voted for Romney, Dole, McCain. These three were friendly, soft spoken, and companions with both the repugs and dims. Look where that has gotten us. At least Trump has the guts to kick the s***t out of all the namby-pamby repugs and jump all over the dims. None of the other candidates have the cajones to do that. All they are are modern day GOPe. Even Cruz. He is a Washington DC person completely. And it shows because he can lie whenever he needs to.
