I think our votes here are looking pretty much like what the votes in the elections are looking like, absent the strong presence of a Rubio factor.
Trump has been pulling in about 2:1 against Cruz.
Here’s he’s been doing that.
In recent days Cruz’ support here has ebbed a little, and I think Super Tuesday may reflect that too.
We’ll see.
There is a quandary about which route to take, Cruz or Trump. Whether we like it or not, good Conservatives are coming down on both sides of that issue. It’s a reasoned debate to have. I think folks recognized we need a strong man to get over the GOPe, Hillary, and Congressional hurdles.
They did not see Cruz to be that guy, so they went Trump.
You can be absolute perfection, but if you can’t overcome all the hurdles, what good are you in the long run? Rightly or wrongly, Conservatives have come down on this as they have.
That doesn’t mean they have gone Liberal by any stretch of the imagination.
I believe Trump’s platform is pretty rock solid Conservative.
If he implements any of it, it will be more than our last (R) president did.
