CatherineofAragon was an active, very pro-Cruz FReeper who suddenly went quiet. I'd had only one exchange with her and while we ended up with different preferences, she was most gracious. I noted she wasn't around for the IA caucus nor tonight for the NH primary.
Does anyone know CatherineofAragon personally? Is she all right?
I did a search; her last posts were January 24.
Without a real-world contact, sometimes FReepers go quiet and are never heard from again, and we don't know what happened.
Sorry, Marie. I have a friend and niece who suffer lupus. At the moment, at least, they’re well under control and I hope you enjoy the same.
Over the years I’d be engaged with someone, then poof! Gone. In one case, at least, the FReeper I’d been engaging with died suddenly, but another FReeper knew her personally, so we were all advised. I guess that experience gave me an awareness of certain aspects of internet relationships. I’d only had one encounter with CoA and found her to be surprisingly gracious given how heated these boards have been of late. She was a fighter, she wasn’t scared off. She may find the other site more to her liking. I get that.
Do you have a family member who would know how to log on when you are in the hospital? We have prayer threads here, there’s usually someone who knows someone who then comes on the boards. And there’s a kazillion threads a day, so it’s easy to miss both the thread and FReeper for a long time.
I just had brunch Sunday with a FReeper I met at the Walter Reed vigils years ago, who lives in another city but was passing thru my town, so we had a quick get together. Then, again, I sleep with another FReeper every single night. So if anything happens to me, eventually one of them could let others know. Maybe.

We do need to have a way for family to post death and injury notices on FR. A separate category.
My husband was dear friends with kattracks. She helped me get supplies to our deployed soldiers and ended up taking the entire thing over. Hubs had his soldiers write her thank you letters and he really cared about her.

Yup. FR needs to have a ‘bent or broken’ forum so we can post this stuff. Leave an email contact on the front page so that friends and family an contact the admin to get the info out.
