But Cruz stood above the GOPe. He voted against every one of those McConnell compromises. Why should Cruz Drop out?? First in Iowa and third in liberal NH. I am sure Trump would love it. Why have primaries if every one but Trump should drop out. Cruz was NOT in that”
everyone lied” that’s why the Gope hates him.

The establishment will bounce around from Rubio to Bush to Kasich until only one of the three is left. Whoever that is will get the establishment 3rd of the primary votes. It sure is starting to feel like we will go into the convention as a 3 candidate circus: Trump, Cruz & Establishment fill in the blank. The question for you Trump fans is, do you trust that after all of Trumps attacks on him, that Cruz (and his supporters) will join up with you during the arm wrestling of the convention in order to break a three candidate deadlock, or would he and his supporters choose Rubio (or other fill in the blank candidate)? Think about that as Trump continues his scorched earth democrat talking point attacks leading up to the convention.

Trump possibly may have asked Christie to torpedo Rubio and he will give him a cabinet post.

He only about 5,500 votes behind Rubio. I’m watching the 3 way tie for third. Looks like Cruz will hand on to his 600 vote lead over Jeb.

Forget Cruz quitting. Lots of us in Texas will always support him and this year our votes will count instead of being after the fact.

How CRuz is ahead, in TX, is surprising.

I don’t know one person supporting him (conservative area/church/associates) and I never see a CRuz bumper sticker, on any of the TX highways/byways I travel along.

Thanks much for your reply.

Could well be the right prediction.

Christie, Fiorina, and Carson are done. R.I.P.

Kasich and Bush survive to battle Rubio for the Establishment banner.

The real battle remains Conservative Cruz vs. Trump. Now shifts to South Carolina.

(in my opinion)

1. It is a very small percentage of the population that attends the caucuses, and an even smaller percentage that vote, and a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny percentages that are ‘delegates’.

2. Cruz’s ground team in Texas has spent a lot of time warming up to that tiny percentage of the population.
One doesn’t need to worry about the rest of the population (in Texas for example) because they aren’t going to be at the caucus voting.

It would seem easy to then be ahead with caucus goers, but not with the general public.

Or maybe the whole process is rigged, everywhere, and the vote counts are skewed for maximum entertainment.

“Trump will close the deal on the east and west coasts.”

I heard Cruz was ahead in Calif. We’ve already had our Trump (Arnold). Been there. Done that.

That debate performance was historic. Boy, they told him to do his job and he did it like he was knifing a guy under a bridge.
