Been here since 98, which is why I don't toss out the "I've been here longer so shut up" tactic that sadly has reared its head a lot lately. When I try it- some class of 97 guy kicks my arse and calls me noob. (yeah, old joke but I laugh)
Been lurking more than posting lately but wonder where we all stand on things in this race and on Free Republic.

1. Betweeen Cruz, Rubio, and Trump only...please list in order of preference if they were your only choices for president.
2. Are the current flame wars on Free Republic the same we always see during a presidential primary season or worse?
3. Of these 5 issues only: Abortion, Homosexual Marriage, Illegal immigration, Muslim refugees, Obamacare... please list in order of most important to stop to least important. (Least important in no way means "not important". Even if an issue is #5 on THIS list, its may still be #5 out of 100 issues for you. Im just comparing to these other 4 for perspective.)

I’ve actually been here since Nov. 2002.
Trump only. Never on Cruz or Rubio. Done my homework. And I am a rabid social conservative, starting the Moral Absolutes ping list, and the last two issues while important to me (very) are NOT as important as the first three, which also includes SECURE BORDER because if we don’t have national sovereignty and identity, the other two won’t matter because they’ll continue to be shoved down our throats willy nilly.

Murder for convenience is far more damaging to our collective morality that the nonsense of homosexual rights. The latter will subside with new generations who will rightly see it isn’t a right, it’s a behavior.
Obamacare is a bomb going off in our economy that is doing massive gradual damage that will leave us far poorer and with inferior health care.
Islam is a problem worldwide, why ask the ISIS types to come in and kill us. They have three routes in, as refugees, as favored immigrants and open borders / visa overstay.
Cruz Trump Rubio.

In this race I only saw Cruz Supporters being banned.

I have struggled with this because I believe Ted Cruz is the best man for handling the political side of DC, but I believe Trump can shatter the machine in a way that Cruz may not be able to.
1. Trump, Cruz or resign myself to speaking a language I was not born to the rest of my days.

If we don’t control our borders it won’t matter about the others, we will no longer be a nation. Trump promises, more vocally to resolve this. I still believe there could be a partnership between him and Cruz.
Illegal immigration and the attempt to combine western civ with Mohammedanism are existential threats to western civ. So is homo marriage, but that risk can be manged without assistance from the government.
Condoning abortion is condoning murder of innocents. Same with euthanasia.
Obamacare is just about money. Compared with existential threats and mortal sins, it is nothing.
2. I don't pay attention to the flame wars. Ashe ain't here and neither is Toiletman so its not much different than when I joined.
3. Illegal immigration, Muslims period, Obamacare, taxes, Gun Control, Social Security, Race baiting/affirmative action run amok.

2- I think it’s worse than I remember from past Presidential elections. Many more intolerant people quick to insult and resort to name-calling when others disagree with them.

My first post at FR was in 2002 I believe but I began lurking and reading during Whitewater investigation in 90s. (Don’t remember which year I found the site)
I appreciate that Trump has brought topics into the campaign that otherwise the press may not have brought up. However, I don’t like his temperament in the way he talks down, insults, mocks, and puts down others who disagree with him or who may threaten him in polls. While his fans see these traits and ego as positives, I view them as not being Presidential.
2. Worse -- in the sense that the Cruz-Trump wars seem to be dominated by irrational name-calling compared to the heated but principled Buchananite duels.

2. Level of discourse is down, but I find it is down on every forum I use. We have become a country incapable of serious discussion. On forums that have nothing to do with politics, I see infantile insults replacing any attempt at logic. Thought is not only not used, but actively rejected and hated.
3. Muslim refugees, Illegal immigration, Abortion, Homosexual “marriage,” Obamacare. On the whole, the only hope I see is for a religious revival. We’re seeing the effects of turning our backs on God, and we cannot cure the symptoms without dealing with the actual disease.
