I've never heard anything this absurd.

But It's Science!

Europe’s shift to dark green forests stokes global warming—study

So now their answer is to 'cut down all the trees'? After that, they'll be whining that globull warming is because we have no trees.

“Forest changes have nudged Europe’s summer temperatures up by 0.12 degree Celsius (0.2 Fahrenheit) since 1750, largely because many nations have planted conifers such as pines and spruce whose dark color traps the sun’s heat, the scientists said. “

You can’t make this sh** up.

Much of Europe was deforested for pasture over a thousand years ago, there have been mini-ice ages and warming since. The planet is largely covered by water. I just don’t grasp the obsession with human behavior driving large scale climate change. It’s obvious to me that it’s political, not scientific.

Lighter-colored broad-leafed trees, such as oak or birch, reflect more sunlight back into space, but have lost ground to fast-growing conifers, used for everything from building materials to pulp.

I swear these people have to complain about everything and anything. If they would only be honest and just say... we want you all dead so that we can enjoy Gaea without having to deal with you too.

But no, it has to be the death of a thousand paper cuts. Something Bureaucracies are very good at.

0.12 degree Celsius (0.2 Fahrenheit) since 1750

0.12 degrees over 266 years? Really? I would argue that 0.12 degrees is well within the measurement error range for such a situation.

But the worst thing here is that I'm not even allowed to make that argument. It's settled science, and so it cannot be questioned, dontcha know?

So if they plant more deciduous trees more sunlight will be reflected back to the upper atmosphere burning off moisture bearing clouds just like the cities and towns do now - effectively creating deserts.

Hip Hip Howrah! Just love those dry warm places ... lots of sand to bask on.

This makes sense, for the same reason that it makes sense that a dark car is warmer than a light car, dark clothing is warmer than light clothing, etc. Darker objects absorb more light, meaning they absorb more energy and give off the energy as infrared light, which we perceive as heat.

Now, does this mean that Europe is about to enter a catastrophic heating cycle? No. It’s an interesting observation, that’s all. Any environmental consequences of increased evergreen forests is due to their effect on the flora and fauna in the region—species have preferred habitats, and the species composition of an area will adjust to the new habitat.

Politically correct trees and politically correct vegetation are necessary if we are to overcome white privilege. ;?)

IIRC, there was legislation proposed in California to ban black cars because they absorb too much heat.

I also recall talk about making parking lots white to reflect heat.

Norther Europe heated up 0.2 F? I fail to see the problem when you consider the situation only a few thousand years ago...

You would think that 0.12 degree Celsius (0.2 Fahrenheit) would be well within a margin of error. Thermometers were not even digital until the past 20 years. How can they even pretend to be so precise? Junk madeup voodo “science”. More likely political science.
