Phyllis Schlafly is a retired American constitutional lawyer, conservative activist, author, and speaker and founder of the Eagle Forum. She has led the conservative movement for 50 years. Schlafly came to national attention when millions of copies of her self-published book, A Choice, Not an Echo, were distributed in support of Goldwater's 1964 presidential campaign.

Phyllis Schlafly was the first major conservative to endorse Marco Rubio for US Senator over Governor Charlie Crist.

Yesterday Phyllis Shlafly said freshman Senator Marco Rubio should be disqualified from the presidential race for lying to conservatives in English and saying something entirely different on Spanish language television.

Schlafly released a 15 page "Rubio Betrayal Memo" Friday to denounce Rubio's actions as US Senator. Check Eagle Forum for updates.

I just need one sentence to sum up Marco Rubio:

The Voters certainly looked fast asleep, almost dead and dark, with scarcely a snore more than a whiff of unseen steam, when Rubio peeped once more from the entrance. He was just about to step out on to the floor when he caught a sudden thin and piercing ray of red from under the dropping lid of The Voters's left eye. He was only pretending to sleep! He was watching the tunnel entrance! Hurriedly Rubio stepped back and blessed the luck of his ring. Then The Voters spoke.

`Well, thief! I smell you and I feel your air. I hear your breath. Come along! Help yourself again, there is plenty and to spare!`

But Rubio was not quite so unlearned in dragon - lore as all that, and if The Voters hoped to get him to come nearer so easily he was disappointed. `No thank you, 0 The Voters Tremendous!` he replied. I did not come for presents. I only wished to have a look at you and see if you were truly as great as tales say. I did not believe them.`

`Do you now?` said the dragon somewhat flattered, even though he did not believe a word of it.

`Truly songs and tales fall utterly short of the reality, 0 The Chiefest and Greatest of Calamities,` replied Rubio.

`You have nice manners for a thief and a liar,` said the voters. `You seem familiar with my name, but I don't seem to remember smelling you before. Who are you and where do you come from, may I ask?`

`You may indeed! I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led. And through the air. I am he that walks unseen.` So I can well believe,` said The Voters, `but that is hardly your usual name.

`I am the friend of Santorum and the guest of Fries. I am Endorse winner and Bootwearer; and I am Boat driver,` went on Rubio beginning to be pleased with his riddling. `That's better!` said The Voters. `But don't let your imagination run away with you!`

By her wisdom and discernment, Marco Rubio is now laid waste and exposed for the fraud and liar that he is. I have witnessed this “establishment” surge for this phoney establishment puppet over the last 4 days and she just ended Karl Roves gambit 3 hours ago. Phyllis Schlafly, architect of the modern conservative movement and tireless opponent of mass immigration, says GOP hopeful Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% should be disqualified from the race for dishonestly saying one thing about amnesty in English and another in Spanish.

“If Jeb’s candidacy falters despite the $114 million he raised, the establishment’s next choices, Sen. Marco Rubio and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, have basically similar views,” she wrote in her Monday World Net Daily column:

Kasich said the 12 million illegals should be “legalized once we find out who they are,” and Rubio said Obama’s executive amnesty “can’t be terminated because there are already people benefiting from it.”

Rubio’s statement was made in Spanish on the Spanish-language network Univision, which is reason enough to eliminate him from serious consideration. When somebody is running for president of the United States, why should we have to get somebody to translate his remarks into English?

Why indeed? Bilingualism has corroded political discourse rather than strengthened it. Lying in a different language is a becoming bipartisan pastime. Democratic Rep. Luis Gutirrez mocked Kathryn Steinle’s death during a Spanish Telemundo interview, calling it a “little thing.” Steinle was allegedly murdered by an illegal alien. Gutierrez exploded with rage when an expert immigration witness calmly called him out during a congressional hearing.

“He really lost me when he started saying that.” So up until he defined Rubio as a conservative, you followed Limbaugh and only NOW are you jumping ship? Rush is first for me and if he says Rubio is a solid conservative, that is good enough. Limbaugh has led conservatives through some pretty dark days and shame to those who are doing this to him.
