Six found slain in Gage Park home, including child (Chicago)

Hours after six bodies were discovered in a Gage Park bungalow, Noemi Martinez waited by the phone nearly a thousand miles away in Texas, still not sure whether the victims were family members her husband had just visited over Christmas.

"This is shocking and I don’t know what to think,” she said. “We’re trying to find out what’s going on.”

Finally, about four hours after police found the bodies of five adults and one child around 10 years old, Martinez was resigned to the idea that they were her relatives. But she still had many questions about what happened inside the brick bungalow in the 5700 block of South California Avenue.

“We’re still trying to figure it all out,” she said through tears. “We don’t know what happened.”

Police say the six victims were found throughout the home around 1:05 p.m. after a co-worker of a man who lived there called 911, police said. They appeared to have been stabbed, but police were waiting for autopsies.

Yeah but those knives were probably sold here in Indiana, so it’s still our fault.

Is this more “acts of love” from those “aspirational youth” that Yeb! is so keen on?

Mutilation with blades has Cartel written all over it.

But, the Fibune says it doesn’t have anything to do with Chiraq being a Sanctuary City.

It’s kind of weird, because I always think of them being warm weather people, and of course Chicago winters are rough.

I say it's time we banned guns and knives. No one will ever strangle anybody, use clubs, broken bottles, run over people with cars, set things on fire, or anything else to kill another person or persons. /s

They have spread to every state. Even my birth state of Wisconsin, even further north, is being overrun.

Many years ago Gutierrez butted heads with Daley over something. Next day the Tribune reports that Gutierrez has failed to pay property taxes for many years on an ivestment property.

Suddenly, Louie quickly and quietly paid his taxes and got behind hizzoner. DALEY.

Again as in other locations of mayhem in Chicago, Google shows an attractive block of neat well kept brick bungalows. No trash filled yards or boarded up buildings. Chicago Freepers what goes on here? The locations of mayhem do not look like ‘Da Hood’.

I spent 6 weeks in the Chicago area around 2001 and was amazed at how many Mexican restaurants i saw.
Here in the Boston suburbs if i want mexican i have two choices, Taco Bell or Chipotle.
