What are the chances it’s part of some craze to snap selfies in front of moving trains and vehicles?
All kinds of people do that. Lots of people cross busy city streets while texting.
Hope it wasn’t an iPhone 6 plus. Those are expensive. On the other hand, if he just upgraded and went on a payment plan, it wouldn’t have been too expensive.
Short freight train: 40,000,000 pounds (a long train may be far more) at 60 mph
teenager: 140 pounds, going from 0 mph to 60 mph in 0.005 seconds
Physics
Any questions? [other than “did he get the selfie?”]
When I was growing up in the 1970s, we had a commuter railroad (called the Boston & Maine) that ran through our neighborhood. The kids in the neighborhood used to play chicken and see who could run in front of the train and get closest to it. Very stupid and I never participated in that. However, a kid eventually got killed. As he went to run across the tracks, he tripped on the rail and fell right in front of the train. It was said that his body was sliced in half. I don’t know how true that was. In those days, there was no Internet and the local paper didn’t give any details. Either way, absolutely gruesome way to die and so unnecessary. The kid was only 12 years old.
NEVER EVER have I seen two people holding a camera for a selfie.
obama is such a putz
A D’oh selfie
About 7-8 years ago, I was doing contract work at the Citi Complex in North Irving/Coppell (off 635). There was a large contingent of Indians working in the same building. It was not unusual to see them bathing from the sinks in the rest room. It prompted me to use the rest rooms on other floors.
By and large, these families try to assimilate, except for the grandparents. "Grandma" gives everyone a dirty look, lol. The boys learn quickly that girls dig football players.
At the FUNERAL of his hero, communist Nelson Mandela.
That would go far in explaining why I married my ex - LOL!
“One less that will send me a resume for a job they are not qualified to do.”
One less Indian with a future in working for a staffing services company as a recruiter who would completely misread my resume’ as having the same skill sets and education as a job opening they’re trying to fill.
If it is just a still photo one is going for why not take it in front of a stopped train?
can i see the selfie?
Dot. If it was feather, he could have flown away.
:))
I have also started to notice that every resume I get from an Indian all read the same. They have the same identical skill set with few exceptions. It is like they all copied them from the same template.
They never stay at one place more than 18 month and if you look closely you can see a pattern of moving around the US on a sight-seeing tour.

Probably wouldn’t do much to impress chicks when they want to see that a guy would step in front of a speeding train in order to prove his unconditional love. That’s not too much to ask, is it?
Engineers, recruiters or both?
