Your hyperbole is sadly on point. However it is a sobering and depressing thought that Obama was not elected and reelected in a social or cultural vacuum. America has entered a post Christian, neo pagan era of epicurean decadence.
It still feels like an eternity.
Thank God! I will be there, on the National Mall in person, on the day that freedom is restored. Whether it is Trump or Cruz, I will be celebrating, and praying that they repeal every Obama executive order immediately and then repeal every law passed in these eight terrible years as quickly as Congress can move.
We can’t do anything about the massive debt that was spent to reward cronies, or the incompetent and corrupt judicial appointments, but we can start spending responsibly and start appointing strict constructionists to the courts. Eight years with a real president could do a lot to restore freedom. The alternative, if even a real president won’t “take care that the laws be faithfully executed” and “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”, is playing out in Oregon. I pray that we can restore freedom at the ballot box instead of following that path.

The Obama voters are the most dangerous part of this. It’s not so much that we have had to endure an evil communist trampling the Bill of Rights, as it is enough voters loving that outcome to put Obama within the margin of fraud twice. They knew exactly how malicious and vindictive Obama was the second time around, and they gleefully voted for his petty tyranny to continue. That scares me and makes me wonder whether a second Civil War can be avoided.
