The last time I did this, for cars from the 50's, there were some awesome pics put up. Let's see if we can do the same thing for the 40's.

3...2....1...go!

I don’t see the car.

It's just the high beams.

I’ve always been a car nut, but that Graham looks as if they had more than a passing familiarity with Cord. Did they merge at some point? Not aware that they did. But, from the cowl back that car is almost identical to a Cord.

I see your 1947 Ford Woody Wagon, and raise you a 1947 Chevy Fleetmaster Woodie.

“1940 Fiat 500 “

If they made one like that today they’d sell a million of them. At least in warmer climes.

It is from some of the same machining as the Cord 810 and Hupmobile Skylark.

And notice the lack of running board, just a small step - one of the first modern car designs.

The Jeep in your picture looks more like the first Bantam model than the Willys version.

There were a few custom coach work designs in the thirties without running boards, most notably in Europe, but they were mostly one off numbers $$$$$$$$$

My brother has 6, yes 6 pre WWII Packards.
Four are finished with 2 convertibles in progress.
These numbers do not include the parts cars.
*sigh*
I have Vespas....
