I don’t like the Broncos (I’m a Chiefs fan), but I despise Cam Newton, so Go Donkeys!

This should be a very good Super Bowl. Both teams belong there. I didn’t see the Panther game, but I saw the Broncos D beat the Patriots O formost most of the game. It was a bigger win than the score indicated, mainly due to that ruled lateral pass, which had nothing to do with the Denver D.

I can see this SB being a blow out by either team or close right down to the last few seconds.
I'm hoping for the latter.

Out of curiosity, did any of the Powerful Voices of Sports predict the Broncos/Panthers back during the preseason?

A Broncos win is in the hands of their defense. They'll have to slow down the Panthers enough to allow Denver's pedestrian offense to steal a win. Anything other than that, and we're probably looking at another SB blowout.

The Broncos can use the chip on the shoulder that comes with underdog status. The media will get the Panthers ALL full of themselves and the Broncos can go beat ‘em. Hopefully.

Look for the Panthers to design draw plays, including QB draws, to take advantage of the hard charging Denver D-Line.

Not sure why the Cam hate, but he was smart enough to be wearing his seat belt when he rolled his pickup last year. Otherwise this matchup might not be happening.

The “Cam hate” is a result of being raised right. Cam Newton is an arrogant a-hole with an ego that rivals that of Obama/Bubba.....
His sort of stupid bravado is awesome for a guy like Ric Flair, but really stupid and off-putting in the NFL, ESPECIALLY considering the Panthers are winning because of their Defense and their Offensive line.
I truly hope he gets embarrassed in the Super Bowl.

I have to think the Broncos have benefited from playing at home these past two games and the effects of the altitude on the other team. This advantage goes away for the SB. As well, the Panthers just seem like they have a date with destiny. I’ll go Panthers and by a pretty big margin.

In short, the 2015 Broncos remind older fans of the 1977 Broncos--GREAT defense, questionable offense. Remember when then-Broncos QB Craig Morton took a major beating from the Cowboys defense in Super Bowl XII? Well, we may see a perfect repeat of that blowout given Peyton Manning's questionable physical skills and equally questionable running game (Panthers LB Luke Kuechly is going to have a field day going after Peyton).

As a mourning Cowboys fan, I have no real skin in the game and don’t know much about either team.

The one thing I do know: I really like Demarus Ware as a player, a leader and a person off the field. He gave 110% every snap of every game for years in Dallas. He deserves a ring, so it’s “Go Broncos!” for me.

I think there are two possibilities for this game:

Carolina wins in a blowout.
Denver wins a close game.

I don’t see Denver having any chance of winning in a blowout, but I do think if the game is close in the 4th quarter, Denver has the better shot of pulling it out.

Really? Wow...

As someone who moved from Philly to Charlotte, I've become a huge fan of Cam. I haven't seen a team leader in a long time who really exudes how much fun he's having playing the game. He's a true team captain, and really inspires his guys. More importantly, he is very active in the Charlotte community, and treats his fans with the respect they deserve. This "arrogance" you speak of is someone playing to his fans with joyousness -- and that feeling is very contagious here in the Carolinas.

I think his car accident last year was his “wake up call” he is a completely different person since then.

I like both teams. I Like Payton and went to school with coach Kubiak (A&M ‘83). However, I now live in NC and the Panthers are my home team. Whatever happens will be bittersweet for me.

I have never understood the idea that football players should act like monks. A lot of men would dump everything in a second to live like Cam Newton. Why begrudge him?

Because as a general rule I despise narcissists (there are exceptions).
Humility is a sign of true greatness....Walter Payton had it, Montana had it, Rice had it....Newton is a thief and a punk with an entitlement complex.
