I missed the original when it was broadcast. A few months ago, I did start watching from the beginning via Netflix. I am about half-way through Season 2.

The series subject matter and actors hold up pretty good even now. It is in widescreen format, so it may have been remastered.

I'm not a big optimist as to how good this reboot is going to be, AFAIC the show was dragged to death behind a pickup driven by an extraterrestrial spy killer, starting in season six.

Thanks for the link to the series’ backdrop. I didn’t become a fan when x-Files first aired but I intend to check out tonight’s episode.
