Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling says the current uproar over the diversity of this year’s Academy Awards is unfair to the white actors who were nominated.
“It is racist to whites,†Rampling, who is nominated for best actress for her role in the British film 45 Years, told French radio station Europe 1 on Friday morning, in comments that were translated from French.

I’m sick of this nonsensical PC and wish Trump took the opportunity to say the same, but I know he has to walk a fine line while seeking votes and understand that in a campaign you need to pick your battles and not die on the hill if the objective is beating Hillary.
Wow, I’m really tired of the “I refuse to respect the social contract for productivity and behavioral standards, but if you shun me you’re racist” attitude. They are fueling the fire of the social hell they live in all on their own. Dude, it’s so easy...integrate into the predominant right wing culture and thrive. Act like you want to participate in decent society and society will embrace you. Behave like a beast and be excluded from the benefits of productive society.
The whole Oscar thing is ridiculous in itself, but it’s a symptom of a far greater depravity affecting a cultural minority.
I agree gator, its something I notice as well sometimes, I just think some of them want to be recognized by folks and feel entitled to it though to be honest most in our world will never be recognized like they are but we do not cry, we accept it.
Also I noticed that there were no actors of Korean or Japanese background that were nominated, do they cry, no they don’t.

She was excellent in the recent 45 Years, a kind of sad but memorable film about a couple preparing to celebrate their 45th. Probably at her age the roles are fairly limited, so I guess she figured, oh, what the heck. I’m glad she said it though. This whole black thing is getting way beyond ridiculous.
