OREGON LATEST: REFUGE 'UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT', HELP FOR LOCAL FAMILY'S 600 CATTLE

It looks like the Malheur Wildlife Refuge is 'under new management'.

Yesterday the Citizens for Constitutional Freedom group including Ammon and Ryan Bundy, Ryan Payne, John Ritzheimer and others went to a section of the refuge five miles south of the headquarters area they have been occupying.

There they used their hands and an excavator belonging to the US Fish and Wildlife Service to remove 25 to 30 yards of fence.

The purpose of the fence removal was to help a local ranching family feed their 600 cattle. When the government put up the fence last year, it cut off the cattle from grazing land.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service denounced the action taken by the protestors.

Ryan Payne told the media similar actions are planned in the future.

Meanwhile, the "Portland Oregonian/Oregon Live" has published a lengthy article laying out the case that the actions of the protestors occupying the wildlife refuge was planned over two months.

The article points to Ammon Bundy and Ryan Payne as leading the planning of the occupation and lays out a narrative about their efforts to enlist local officials and ranchers, along with Hammond family in their intentions to go beyond a simple rally in support of the Hammond's before they went back to federal prison.

The reporting in the story also suggests the federal authorities had advance knowledge and or suspicion that the refuge would be occupied.

On the last day of work before the occupation began (December 30th) the employees of the wildlife refuge were sent home early and told not to report back to work until they were told to do so.

Those federal government employees happen to be residents of Harney County where some of their fellow residents feel threatened by their actions.

But at a town meeting in Burns, the county seat, last night local officials heard from residents including some with links to federal employment painting a picture of a community divided and expressed their fear of armed outsiders in the area.

An employee of the town's Safeway grocery store, Karmen Schatz was quoted by "Oregon Live" as saying "I've lost friends.....I've never seen our community so divided."

A little earlier I posted a much different take on the situation in Harney County and at the wildlife refuge that was published on Saturday by "Yahoo News" quoting one local rancher as saying "They're cowboys, they're one of us."

Perhaps the problem is that the townspeople don't understand the folks outside the town trying to run their ranching activities with federal land grabs and federal control of land inhibiting their ability to make a living or as the nation's founding document states their 'pursuit of happiness'....

Washington's "War on the West" appears to have run into a roadblock right now as "The Cowboys Resist".

The Bundy family learned last year that a strong stand can turn the federal authorities back in the standoff at their ranch in Nevada.

It appears they are trying to spread the spirit of resistance into southeastern Oregon as well.

I find this all very interesting. Myself, having first hand knowledge of the fed gov power hunger over private citizens, sympathize with the cause.

What makes this special, is it’s an election year. Attention is being put on the leftist regime over this issue. The whole leftist/establishment/Uniparty operation is hated by the voting citizenry, which is why Trump/Cruz/Carson types are so popular and which is why Hitlery, if not in jail, will lose in one of the largest landslides in history.

As long as shots are not fired, it should go Ok.

I've had my own run in with the usf&w back in the early 90's.

Did the rancher have legal access to the pasture where the fence was torn down?

IMO the hunger for power started in the early 90’s with the Clinton administration. The fish & wildlife as well as national parks were gradually taken over by leftists.

A good example is the national park ranger. He used to be a horse riding fellow with a chainsaw that was there to help the people and take care of the park. Today they are FLETC trained cops with little ambition and many have the attitude that the people going to the parks are destroying the habitat of the animals that live there.

They have changed from that friendly guy you invite over to your campfire to a total jerk that will sit in his cruiser and just stare at you.

The evening campfire presentations used to be fun and educational. Now many are filled with leftist eco-whacko propaganda. In about the late 90’s wife and I were at one so filled full of lies many just got up and left.

Problems like those in Oregon can be stopped by a Trump or Cruz President ridding them of managers with the leftist ideology.

The deeper issue are the lower echelon employees that were raised by leftist parents, went to leftist colleges and trained by the leftist managers. These people will be climbing the ladders, and when the Trump or Cruz is replaced by a dem, they will come back at ranchers and other private citizens with a vengeance.

To me the solution is to privatize or totally eliminate many of the federal agencies. The EPA can just be placed in the trash can, there is no need for environmental police. Their original intent never was to be police against citizens. USF&W & NPS can be privatized. Fire all the lefties in them.

Trump should go down there and make a deal with them. Show the the worthless politicians how it’s done! Bring them to one of his rally’s and let them have the mic for a few minutes. Thier message would be heard loud and clear across America!

For me the solution would be to totally eliminate many of the federal agencies and turn them back over to the states.
