Now he is accusing Cruz of flip-flopping, like Trump has never done so many times.
Until a year and a half ago, he was a dual citizen.
If we had *undeniable* PROOF that BHO was a dual citizen with the US and, oh, let’s say...
ANY OTHER FREAKING COUNTRY ON THE FREAKING PLANET, we’d be having a freaking FIT and y’all know it.

I believe this is dishonest reporting.
Trump's recent position (as far as I can tell) is that the Democrats and the Media are likely to make a big deal out of this later in the year. It could be a distraction. It could be bad publicity. It could cost Cruz some votes. Trump is giving advice -- "Cruz should deal with this now so that it won't hurt him later."
Now, of course, Trump is being a bit of a concern troll. Yes, Trump is making an implication that there might be a problem.
BUT NOTE: Trump is not saying 'I believe Ted Cruz is ineligible'.
The media reports like Trump is making a pronouncement. Trump is merely commenting on a possible angle of attack that could be used against Cruz. There is a difference.
If nothing else Trump is causing the issue to pop up now and vent rather than have it purculate if he is chosen later for VP or the Supreme Court.
Good.
Now, can we go back to investigating the background of the current POTUS?
Not that it will do any good, but I’d still like to know if he is really qualified to be in his position.
Not that The Donald had ever thought Ted Cruz was ever anything but a “natural born citizen”, but the issue was raised in a rather sly manner, that there may be “questions” later on in a general election, in which the opposition, which up to now scarcely had a qualm about certain ambiguities in the case law surrounding the state of a “natural born citizen”, would come down on the issue in a most righteous and highly offended manner, that such a presumption could be made.
It has been made, in the past, and brushed off as “irrelevant”.
“It all depends on whose ox was being gored.” Your view of the justness of the outcome of a dispute depends on which side you are on and the degree of personal loss you have suffered.
I think most people are, for reasons as yet to be determined by me, ignoring the framer’s rationale for the natural born citizen provision with regard to the POTUS. They were seeking to minimize the likelihood of undue and dangerous foreign influence on the office of the presidency, especially from a father owing allegiance to a foreign sovereignty. They were 18th century patriarchs who believed that the citizenship condition of the children followed that of the FATHER.
You might argue that that is arbitrary and unreasonable, and all too ante-postmodern politically incorrect, but that is the basis for it. The only way to properly change that original intent is with an Article V constitutional amendment.
We have entirely too much lawlessness with regard to the application and interpetation of the constitution by all sides of the political spectrum, and the rule of constitutional law is more important than the cult of personality.
When Obummer lived in Malaysia, if my memory serves me correctly, he had to become a citizen of Malaysia and had to become muslim in order to attend school at the hadrasra in which he was enrolled.
Shall we check into Obummer's legal status when he was in Malaysia? Which means that regardless of whether he was born to an American citizen, he and his mother had to renounce their citizenship in order to be in Malaysia.
There is an old Alinsky tactic - Accuse your opponent of what you yourself are already doing so that your opponent gets the media hit and you are left scot-free.

He did not lock them, all of a person’s personal records are locked so no one can get your personal information. His personal records are just like your personal records. No one except you can get your birth certificate and no one can get his. However, he has posted his birth certificate and his mom’s birth certificate for all to see. Both have been on FR.
O lived in Indonesia and became an Indonesian citizen and identified as Muslim.

Ted Cruz has lived the vast majority of his life in this country and took action to renounce Canadian citizenship, to his credit. His situation is actually more complicated than Obama’s and there are issues, though. I believe those issues can be resolved in his favor. But, to just claim there’s no problem and hope it all goes away is a mistake, in my opinion.
Trump did actually say last night in Iowa that Cruz is not a natural born citizen until a court says he is.
He's trying to help Cruz. Really, he is. ;-)
Obama was a citizen of Indonesia where he lived as a child. He also identified as Muslim. He has to be an Indonesian citizen to attend school there. It is believed that he traveled on an Indonesian passport and registered as a foreign student here in the U.S.
Is that the new slogan painted on the side of his campaign bus?
