Using a nationally televised interview as her forum, she assumed a familiar and crucial role as Bill Clinton's first defender. She said she knew him better than anyone in the world, still loved him, and fully believed his denial of allegations that he had entered into a sexual relationship with a White House intern and had urged the young woman to lie about it.
The first lady's determined performance on NBC's "Today" dramatically reshaped the debate over the sex scandal that erupted last week and now threatens President Clinton's political survival. Her words at once established a clear line of counterattack for Clinton's loyalists, whose defense strategy until yesterday had seemed confused if not half-hearted, boosted morale at the White House, and drew a swift rebuttal from her main target, independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr, who labeled the conspiracy claims "nonsense."
While Hillary Clinton had nothing new to add to the president's sketchy explanations of his relationship with the White House intern, Monica Lewinsky, she said that she had talked to her husband at great length about the subject and was satisfied with his answers.

Lincoln - A house divided cannot stand....
FDR - We have nothing to fear but fear itself...
Kennedy - Ask not what your country can do for you.....
Clinton - I never had sex with that woman......
Hillary wasn’t defending her husband, she was defending her power. And she hasn’t changed nigh twenty years later.
It all depends on what the meaning of ISIS.
I guess she’s hoping there might be some confusion about what really happened in former days,although it’s pretty well documented. The older among us know enough that she couldn’t realistically get nominated for small-town dogcatcher.
Hillary Clinton is a selfish, self-centered, greedy, power hungry, user who preys on the ignorant and ill-informed.
She always knew about Bill’s behavior in general, and was never going to let anything he did get in the way of her climb to the top. She enabled him, and she defended him. Without him, she would never have the power she has today. A self-made woman she is not. She has needed Bill, warts and all, every step of the way....and she is dragging him out now.
To be fair, he was probably referring to The-Old-Ball-And-Chain (mrs bill). *snicker*
What she’s done is keep the subject alive which will invite responses from all of Willie’s victims. The media which can’t ignore a car wreck will end up throwing more fecal material at the fan which just might inform younger voters about how sleazy the Clintons are.
With luck Hillary will be playing defense until the FBI finishes their investigation and leaks the results. At that point none of her options will involve continuing her candidacy.
