Donald Trump Goes Nuclear: Let's Face It, Ted Cruz 'Is a Bit of a Maniac'
PJ Media ^ | 12-13-2015 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 12/13/2015 7:33:18 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

In what's more evidence that Donald Trump is becoming completely unhinged, he is now stooping so low as to label Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz "a bit of a maniac":

"I don’t think he’s qualified to be president… I don’t think he has the right temperament. I don’t think he’s got the right judgment… You look at the way he’s dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there like a — you know, frankly like a little bit of a maniac. You’re never going to get things done that way."

He added:

"Look, I built a phenomenal business. I’m worth many, many billions of dollars. I have some of the greatest assets anywhere in the world. You can’t walk into the Senate, and scream, and call people liars, and not be able to cajole and get along with people. He’ll never get anything done. And that’s the problem with Ted."

It's rather fascinating that this is coming from the most bombastic and maniacal presidential candidate in history. Almost every single one of his proposals are downright outlandish, and he calls everyone who dares disagree with him "a loser" and worse. See how he smeared Dr. Ben Carson by calling him "pathological."

What's more, Trump's latest jabs at Cruz prove that he has no idea what real conservatives want. Cruz promised them to stand up for their values in Washington D.C., even if the establishment would hate him for it. That's exactly what he's done, and it's one of the main reasons that he's now so popular among Evangelicals, very conservative voters, and those who identify themselves with the Party.

If I was Cruz, I'd politely ask The Donald to attack me even more. After all, this will only end up helping, rather than hurting him.

Obama would have had a super majority to pass it without the Corker bill.

Someone has been lying to you if they are telling you the Corker bill helped anyone but Obama.

“Both of them [Trump, Carson] I like and respect,” said Mr. Cruz, according to an audio recording of his comments provided by one attendee. “I don’t believe either one of them is going to be our president.”

But he added, “You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, it’s given a seriousness to this race, that people are looking for: Who is prepared to be a commander in chief? Who understands the threats we face?”

He went on: “Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button? Now that’s a question of strength, but it’s also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them.”

I have my horse. When Trump takes office the era of political correctness is over. That in and of itself fixes nearly everything.

Trump supports expediting them back. Legally. The legally is important.

Yes, apparently the more the merrier (beginning of 43 sec video).

But legal or illegal, they reduce native-born employment growth. Scroll way down.

Article states......” fascinating that this is coming from the most bombastic and maniacal presidential candidate in history. Almost every single one of his proposals are downright outlandish, and he calls everyone who dares disagree with him “a loser” and worse.”......

And one other thing....Trumps usual Modus Operandi of backhanded compliments..he always "softens" his rant with a complimentary nicety regarding who he is targeting....be it individuals or groups....... negotiating with hostility and rudeness as in the Art of the Deal.... he's forever insulting people and then complimenting them, and this pattern has been front and center since he first announced. It is his style....it is Trump.... and the public likes the show.

Donny, thank you for continuing to open your big fat mouth, thus self-destructing as a viable candidate. The sooner you’re out of the race, the better.

Conservatism will end political correctness. Not some narcissistic drummer.

Do you remember when Trump used to bow Japanese style instead of shaking hands? He was a pompous ass then and he's a pompous ass now.

Do you really believe that he will build a wall and deport the illegals? If elected, I'm sure that he would have an excuse for not living up to his hyperbole. I'm glad he's opened up the dialog about immigration. It needs to be addressed and the sooner the better. But I think that Trump would cause more problems than solve.

35% or so. The rest, not so much. Recent national poll shows negative net favorability: 35-57 = -22

Polls seem to float with whatever bias might be playing at the moment.....and there’s so many claiming they have the real poll.

Polls may at times indicate a trend at best...but as we’ve seen throughout history until this race gets closer to the wire things can change in a heartbeat.

Doesn't fit with his threatening to go independent if treated "unfairly" by the GOP

Trump has stated that he wants to be the GOP nominee. What other leverage does he have to ensure he IS treated fairly?

I think you need to re read this...at the time all this was going on in Washington D.C. , where was Trump? He was building his company, he was a business man in New York...

Where was your candidate when all this was going on? Was he in State Politics or was he a House Representative, or a Senator? Did he have a super pac and Club for Growth backing him? Was he his own person, not bought and paid for and told what to do? Did he have lobbyists shelling out money to him?

These are the things you need to ask yourself...I remember Trump getting serious June 16,2015, running for POTUS and has been since then, but before that, he didn’t have any votes in the Senate or the House, he didn’t represent New York City or New York State, I think that was Hillary Clinton wasn’t it?

So you ask yourself, who did this damage? Who voted in the Senate and House for all of this? Then you’ll understand what the article says....

Well I believe that the “big beautiful door” will likely be the one going and the door coming back in a lot smaller. But he can’t really say that can he? :-)

If Cruz gets nominated I will vote for him but I have little fait in his ability to get rid of the illegals. His donors are big Wall street guys who want the border left open. Ted Cruz will likely only give token effort at securing the border. There will be no wall that I am sure of.

Why wouldn’t I want the guy who swears to Budhha he’s going to build a wall and round up and deport?
