Forgot to compliment you on your tagline. It’s really good.
Wednesday’s and Saturdays were the same for walking tours at El Cid. We could not graduate with unwalked tours, ergo the tours could be walked 24 hrs a day during graduation week.
Thanks Keydet!
In those days, North GA College, then North Georgia College and State University and now The University of North Georgia. Normally the top ROTC program in the country at summer camp.
Correct but North Georgia admitted women to the Corp of Cadets in 1973. Women were in the first students admitted in 1873.
North Georgia’s secret of success has always been being coed on the civilian side of the house. Meanwhile, the first woman cadet started in 1973 in my class (NGC ‘76) and was commissioned into the Army. Then we watched in disgust at the reaction when the Citadel’s first woman’s failure was celebrated like some sort of circus side show. Both VMI and the Citadel missed the boat by not arranging to pay for potential female cadets to attend North GA rather than trying to start up female programs.
