A touching photograph showing a police officer comforting his dying horse in her last moments has gone viral this week.
The photo shows Charlotte, a horse with the Houston Police Department, lying on the street after being struck by a truck. Her partner, Officer D. Herrejon, is pictured embracing her.

si, in Texas, it is unlawful to discharge a firearm on/across a road/parkway. Only LEO can do that, but why did he not? beats a vet bill everytime.

Don’t take this as gospel but I think I heard the local humane department came and humanely put the horse down. Our SIL is HPD and I’ll ask him if it’s true......such a sad story......
