I got my first 10-22 probably in 1973. There was a pawn shop within walking distance of our house in Tulsa. It was used but like new.

Back then they all had walnut stocks. Not fancy walnut but still walnut. Mine was reasonably accurate but my old Remington model 513 would beat it. It would beat the new ones too but I have always liked the 10-22.

I think my next one, if I can ever get the money together will be a stainless one with a synthetic stock. I noticed the local Wal-Mart has one. Can’t recall the price tho.
