SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- In the past two years, Nathan Kitchen has revealed to his five children that he's gay, gone through a divorce with his wife and grappled with how to stay in a religion that doesn't condone his lifestyle.
Now comes the toughest task: Telling his children he could be kicked out of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints if he someday marries a man, and warning his two youngest, 11 and 15, that they might be barred from serving a mission under new church rules.

Has he explained to his five children what "gay" means? Has he enlightened them as to what he and his multiple boyfriends like to do with each others' bodies. Do they understand that "Daddy likes anal copulation with other men"?
The Mormon Church should tell the homos they will consider it after they get the Muslims to comply.

Why don’t they find something that suits them, rather than force everyone to change to their liking? Very selfish, never understood that (on principle anyway).

I don’t feel sorry for him. Too bad for the kids, but lines have to be drawn and not moved. He knows the price and is willing to commit the sin anyway. If he were really a Mormon in his heart, he would be afraid for his soul. I am not Mormon, but think the Church should stick to its doctrine.
I'm still surprised about the number of mainstream religions which cannot understand the very clear account of what happened to Sodom and why as recorded in the Book of Genesis.
The so-called extreme religions like Mormons, Evangelicals and straight Catholics can get it right, but the mainstreamers can't. Why is that?

They will criminalize religion while Republican leaders do nothing.
The detractors try to make it sound like The Church is between a rock and a hard spot but apparently the church leaders don’t seem to think so. If God said being queer was a sin 25 years ago and there is no record of God changing the position, then what choice does the church have. It’s either answer to God or answer to the queers, I’d rather answer to God for doing it right.
It is kind of like the college in MO, the students want the college to change stuff and have more or less of this or that and the college gives in.
If you preach that you are God’s church then you can’t give in to the inmates.
Excuse me, but hasn't the Mormon Church repeatedly demanded that gentiles change their beliefs ... for example, to accommodate the everlasting LDS covenant of plural marriage?
I agree with the Mormons this time, but sense a tad bit of hypocrisy and perhaps a even false flag with this particular homosexual puff piece.
