More mental health professionals (of color) are needed there, undoubtedly.
So the COWARDLY University President resigned. Reap what you sow Ahole. They are very lucky I was not their President. Many people would be leaving but I would not be one of them.

All or most universities are desperately trying to increase the number of black faculty and there are only so many with Ph.D.'s (disproportionately in Education and some other fields, very rare in some fields). So unless they are willing to pay much higher salaries to lure faculty from other institutions, they might have to lower standards to meet the quota (not require a Ph.D., for example), even if the University of Missouri is a research university.
Send the little bastards back to their Democrat plantation. Today I don’t know which is worse Muslims or blacks. One is an invader and the other has become a parasite.

This is a major victory for the Leftists. They now know how easy it is to take over the leadership of Universitys all over the country. Although they already control them they can now eliminate any university administrator they want and replace them with someone even more radical.
The "white privilege" football coach Gary Pinkel (photo below) thinks he is immune, but you can bet it won't be long before his head is on the platter and the football players demand that they will only play for a black coach. They've gotten away with taking an inch, they'll be asking for miles now.
You think he resigned of his own volition? No way. You can bet he was given his coat, shown the door and told to either exit gracefully or have his butt unceremoniously kicked out to the curb.
Question is, did he have to sign some kind of agreement to keep his mouth shut about what happened? He doesn't seem like the type of person to take this lying down, so I hope he has an opportunity legally to tell his story. It would be fascinating.

I didn’t read the “faculty and staff” part... probably because the rising bile in my throat caused me to look away from the list of demands long enough to miss it.
Nonetheless, hiring quotas are just as stupid as admission quotas. Want a job? Be the best qualified.

He probably has a contract with the university so unless they had good cause to fire him they are looking at a major lawsuit. Perhaps they bought him out with a golden parachute. Either way he decided to bail instead of endure a fight. Seems like the definition of cowardice to me.
This reminds me of the Red Chinese Cultural Revolution.

The university is holding all the cards (and have the state on their side). A fight would be futile. Why should he bankrupt himself and go through h*** knowing he had no chance to prevail?

I doubt they have any legal grounds to fire him, but the path of least resistance would be to quit. Personally I would have made life miserable for all concerned and extracted a high price, but I’m a vindictive SOB.
