The Perfect Treatment for Diabetes and Weight Loss
YouTube ^ | May 9, 2015 | Diet Doctor

Posted on 11/08/2015 12:07:16 PM PST by WhiskeyX

What is the perfect treatment that can cure type 2 diabetes (!) and lead to effortless weight loss? Listen to the eloquent Dr. Jason Fung describe it in this 12-minute part of a longer interview.

*** Observe: This treatment is extremely effective. If you have diabetes and take blood sugar lowering medication (especially insulin injections) you may need to reduce the doses a lot to avoid potentially dangerous hypoglycemia. You may instantly become too healthy for your medication. ***

In the full 45 minute interview Dr. Fung goes into more detail about exactly how to add fasting to your low-carb diet, important things to consider and how to avoid potential problems.

The Perfect Treatment for Diabetes and Weight Loss

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1a2Fsfa8e4I

This video is one in a series of videos and websites which are being posted on FreeRepublic in the coming days in regard to nutritional health. In the beginning these videos were being posted as a rebuttal to an article and comments in another posted article on FreeRepublic remarking on obesity. Due to the strong interest in obesity and nutritional health as it relates to Type II Diabetes, the videos relating to Type II diabetes and how to reverse the progression of the disease are being moved forward among the other video topics in this series. Expect to see a mixture of videos regarding the role of carbohydrates in the diet and their relationship to nutritional health topics ranging from metabolic syndrome and Diabetes to dementia, Parkinson's Disease, Altzheimer's Disease, and more. The effects of standard government sponsored diets, health association diets, and alternative diets upon everyday nutrition, sports nutrition, and diabetic nutrition will be mixed in with videos focused on the use of various low carbohydrate and high fat (LCHF) diets, such as the ketogenic diets as a treatment for Type II Diabetes.

Anyone who is interested in following this series of posts about nutritional health is invited to request a ping.

I enjoyed Sarah Hallberg’s presentation, reinforced much of what I already believe.

A pysician friend of mine had this to say about her video...

“I have long followed a low carb; HIGH NATURAL fats diet and I can vouch for the sound advice in that video.

I just saw my doctor for my physical this past Thursday and he told me about Dr. Fung, said I should watch his videos and consider his program for weight loss. I am not diabetic but I’m sure I have insulin resistance. Have watched 2 videos now and am very impressed. starting with a fast day tomorrow. Fortunately fasting is easy for me.

very informative video. I never knew Type 2 Diabetes is too much insulin. I always knew it was insulin resistance.

My mother fasted one day every month. Only had water. She did not ever develop type 2 Diabetes, although her 6 siblings all had Diabetes. She did it probably for reasons based on tradition, Hindu religion, or something like that. But obviously it helped her prevent diabetes. She passed away at age 103!

Ditto. In my opinion there should be even more posts to show the evil of big government and the government-research, government-agriculture, government-medicine industrial complex.

Further, this information allows people to empower themselves and take real control of their health.

Look at the facts. Humans go back a few million years. Our genes have evolved over all those years. Agriculture OTOH is only a few thousand years old. That is like less than 1% of time spent surviving WITHOUT agricultural products, mainly the grains (rice, wheat, corn etc).

Also keep in mind ancient humans did not live sedentary lifestyle. It was hunter-gatherer life, with miles of walking everyday.

I have concluded the best food for our bodies is what ancient humans ate...fruits, root vegetables, berries, green leafy vegetables, and occasional feasting on meat when they had a successful hunt. No added salt or sugar. Call it Paleo diet. And add a couple of miles of walking.

That won’t prevent bacteriological diseases, but it is likely to reduce degenerative diseases such as heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, muscle deterioration with resulting joint aches, etc.

however, it is likely that folks prior to agriculture and animal culture died at what we would now consider very young

However, reducing carbohydrates and eating butter pretty much ended indigestion and drooling at night

That’s what they said over at their site. It was very informative. Looks like you had already figured that out.

Our ancestors died from bacterial diseases rather than degenerative diseases. They had no anti-biotics. Heck, just 100 years ago, leading cause of death was Pneumonia.

And they had no means to survive a swallowed bone lodged in their gut, or other such accidents and non-degenerative disorders such as appendicitis.

But they were unlikely to die from heart attacks, high blood pressure (which destroys kidneys) or Diabetes. And they had no weapons to protect from big cats.
