They may be good. And if they played anyone we would find out. Here is one way for them to prove themselves. If Temple beats ND, then Memphis beats Temple and Houston. Memphis would break into the top ten by having 3 top 25 wins.

True, but the rankers for the bowls require a tough schedule against several ranked teams. You can’t get to a top bowl by beating only one good team. Your supposed to play 8 or 9 fab five teams. The fab five are the Big Ten, ACC, SEC, Pac 12, or Big 12. If you don’t do that, you can beat 3+ top ranked teams. But you can no longer play one or two real teams, go undefeated and play in the top bowls.
