Motoped Survival Bike Looks Like a Million Bucks
Autoevolution ^ | 4/9/15 | FLORIN TIBU

The Motoped Black Ops is a shameless, shallow grab for attention that has 100 percent done its job on me. A zombie hunting moped? Seriously? But the product behind it is actually pretty sweet. A highly customizable moped with a 500-mile (805 km) range, 200 mpg (1.2 L/100km) efficiency and heavy-duty engineering. It easily converts to an ultralight dirtbike if you swap the 49cc stock engine for something larger, and its long travel suspension should make it pretty capable on dirt tracks.

I used to have a Yamaha RD400F (2 stroke twin) that I once did about 300-350 miles on in one trip. Recently I regained feeling in my ass and arms I think. It only took 30 years. 500 miles on that ped is gonna truly suck.

Where’s the shotgun mount? Looks like a motorcycle out of a Mad Max

Gee, anybody’d look rugged riding that.

For about a minute and a half, until some Harley blew by blowing smoke in the rider’s face.

A bicycle is just a bicycle, even if it does have a little motor.

I want one. I don't know why exactly, but I want one.

Same here.

If the net IS operating, “The Man” can track you by the cell phone and know where you are within 3 feet.

I’d rather have a horse.

I think hand well pumps have limits of about 50 feet.

All suction pumps, hand or electric, have a limit of about 33 feet of lift.

The reason is that they work by creating a vacuum above a column (the well pipe) and atmospheric pressure pushes, like a straw. The limit is the amount of atmospheric pressure available, which is about 33.8 ft.

You can push water as far as you have power available to do the work, which is why most homes have a pump that is at the bottom of a deep well.

All you have to do is put the piston down lower and one can pump deep.

500 miles a gallon is a lot of not walking.

Limited food supply makes any thing that conserves energy is very useful.

The well has to be big enough to get the bucket down.

For the price one can buy a real used smaller MC that most likely be a lot more durable.

I like the idea but for what you are getting one should buy a real motor-cross or duel sport bike.

There are many reasons the horses were given up in favor of fuel powered transportation.

I love the accessories, but would prefer a larger gas tank.

It does look cool but for the terrain it’s designed for, I can’t help but think about all the parts on it that could rattle loose and fall off...........LOL!

You can convert a windmill to hand pump or operate the windmill by hand if the wind isn’t blowing.

There are hand pumps that go deeper than 50ft.

The depth where you find water and the water level in your casing is two different things.

A 250ft well might have a 30ft water level in the casing.
