WORRIED parents are demanding to know why they were not told in advance about a primary school visit by Ebola nurse Pauline Cafferkey.
She visited the school the day before she was readmitted to hospital. She remains seriously ill in the isolation ward of Londons Royal Free hospital after the virus appeared to return.
Officials yesterday tried to allay fears of anyone she came into contact with. They included a group of pupils at Mossneuk Primary School in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, who had raised £500 for the fight against Ebola.
Miss Cafferkey, 39, from Cambuslang, near Glasgow, spoke at the schools assembly on Monday just hours before she fell ill and was taken to hospital in the city.

Ebola can reactivate after hiding for weeks in body fluids. The nurse is only the second recorded person to have been treated twice for the virus.
Dr Emilia Crighton, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde director of public health, said: The risk to the public is very low. In line with normal procedures, weve identified a small number of close contacts of Paulines we will be following up as a precaution.
Holy cr**. I’m betting there are a lot of others that died of second time around...and it was discounted or ignored.
Perhaps these “survivors” of Ebola should be treated somewhat differently than healthy individuals and kept out of the schools.
In other words, curing the disease produces carriers.
How DARE they question Big Brother!
If she recovers, she should be sent on a speaking tour of muslim schools.
Good luck with that.
I’ll make this simple. When you send your kids to public school, you abdicate all authority over them. That was always the goal and design. It is that way by definition.
Hey America, haven’t you figured out by now your public school is not going to tell you anything. And that all they do will be controversial. You have no authority with your child. The state owns it(the child). Soon they will let it(the child) live only if it meets certain criteria.
The American doctor, who was ‘cured’ of Ebola, had the virus in his eyes a few months after his first recovery.

If it is still there and dormant it is not technically cured.
This was in the UK. The Brits are even worse about simply having no regard for their subjects.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Always have been haven’t they. Think King George.
I tried saying that to my ultra conservative brother in law when they stopped homeschooling and enrolled their kids in public school. He got irritated and said not his kids. Absolutely wouldn’t believe me because the constitution does not give the schools that power. All I could say is good luck with that.
By the time parents find out what disagreeable thing has been done to/with their children it’s too late for anything but complaining-the damage has already been done.
Late ping.
Not anymore than the current US Gov’t, and their “subjects.”
