That’s because there are plenty of people still willing to buy tickets at any price. If enough people stopped buying tickets, the price would drop like a rock overnight.
I went there for the first time last year. While the wife and I had a good time with the grandkids, I can't see wanting to go again for about five more years.
Like I said, I enjoyed myself, but it's still mostly for kids in my view. Which, of course, that's what it was designed for.
I guess they need more money to pay all the illegal aliens they hire.
Back in the 60’s when we lived just north of LA, we used to got a couple of times a year.
Whoo Hooo!
Keep more of the riff-raff and people who just don’t get it out.
More park time for me!
30% is for both east and west coast full park access whenever.

Remember Disneyworld is LITERALLY its own municipality.
Please don’t come to horrible Alabama and see our pathetic forests and natural wonders...it’s just terrible....No person should ever visit....Just a rotten place.
I really love Disney World. I’d love to pitch a tent outside of It’s a Small World and live there...but I can’t afford the ever increasing rates...maybe if I save several years, but by then the rates will have raised again! I really do adore the place, though.
Great place to take young kids...very memorable....but i am grown now...the money hustling with gifts shops at the ride exits are just too much anymore.
I love the magic of it all...any troubles I may have just vanish when I’m there.
Glad you still have a passion for it!

NO!! NO!!
Don’t throw me in that briar patch. ANYTHING but the briar patch.
;)
Gold Pass for DVC went up $20 bucks to $549 and added Photopass. It includes two blackout periods of two weeks each: Christmas/NYE and Easter, the busiest times of the year.
Last year, we figured our AP came out to $16/admission. If you know how to do Disney World, it’s easy to avoid the crowds and heat.
How to avoid crowds and heat at Disney: say park is open 9AM to 10PM. Most people refuse to get up early on vacation, so they arrive at Magic Kingdom about 11AM, when crowds peak.
Crowd levels normally go something like this:
9AM 40,000 guests
10AM 55000
11AM 75000
Noon 90000
1PM 110000
2-5 PM 115000
6 PM 90000
7PM 75000
8PM 60000
9PM 50000
10PM 40000
So, average person gets there at 11AM when crowds peak, wait 60 min for first ride, 90 minutes for 2nd ride, 90 min for 3rd ride and now it’s 4-5PM, you and the kids are hot, sweaty, short tempered and it’s time to leave in frustration after spending 5-6 hrs at the hottest, most crowded time of the day. If you use your FPs, then you maybe rode 6 rides.
Or.
Get up at 7:30, be in line for park opening at 8:30, ride 3-4 rides with 10-30 min waits, enjoy some snack or shipping or whatever and then save at 11:30. Back to room for nap and/or pool time and back to park at 5PM, use your fast passes and then grab 3-4 more rides in the evening as crowds thin. During the heat and crowds, you’re gone. Probably got on 12-15 rides.
This past June, middle of summer, my daughter rode 27 E-ticket rides in one day.
+1
Kind of like what we figured with DVC. We come out paying about *70 per night to stay in a very very nice resort, with all the perks therein.
That even works in Hawaii. All we have to do is get there.
Good one. It took me a while.
I have lived within 25 miles of Disneyland my entire 56 years. I haven’t set foot in the park in the last 38. Back in the day you could afford to take your girlfriend. How in the hell can an 18 year old come up with $300 with parking plus food and drink now days? Oh thats right Mom and Dad.
