A southwest Florida woman landed herself behind bars after calling 911 to complain about being shortchanged in a drug deal.
According to a Fort Myers Police Department report, 36-year-old Erin Klich called police to complain that she'd attempted to buy $75 worth of marijuana, but never got the goods from the dealer.
Officers arrived outside a home to find Klich outside the reported dealer's home, still on the phone with police. Klich told the responding officers that the dealer inside took her money.
Klich was arrested for misuse of 911.=
Upon searching Klich, police found a clear plastic baggy, later determined to contain 5.4 grams of marijuana.
Klich was also charged with possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
It is not known whether Klich has hired an attorney.
That’s why they call it dope.

I was just reading another thread about Teddy Roosevelt’s support for eugenics as plain common sense. He said any farmer knows that the worst, stupidest animals of the herd should not be allowed to breed. I thought it was an absolutely appalling notion.

She was still outside the dealers house on the phone with the police when she was arrested.
Talk about burning your bridges. Gonna have to find another supply.
In states like Colorado and Washington I’d bet this sort of *crime* can probably be seen as justified use of the services of law enforcement. Stealing a person’s dope.

So what about the dealer? The lady stated the owner of the house received money for pot. That at least will put the dealer on the cops’ radar! They could even get a free house out of the deal..courtesy of the forfeiture laws!(/sarcasm)
I think they would rather just place the woman under arrest. Heck, they guy in the house could be armed!
I’m not sure that her word would have been enough for a search. Probably need to get a warrant.
I’m pretty sure she won’t be getting a birthday card from her(ex) dealer.
