Quite a bit of patching going on with the 9.x release.
How about fixing the thing that makes me have to tap my calendar screen several times to open up a specific day...
I just installed 9.0.1 last night. I got a notification and installed it immediately since my email wasn’t working so well with 9.0.0. My email began working normally. Of course, it could have been the boot that resolved the situation. I didn’t see the fix list for 9.0.1.
Complex systems that have been around a while usually need a lot of small patches. Better to get the fixes out ASAP rather than holding everything (ticking off users in the meantime) for one big release.
I haven’t even had time to download 9.0.1 yet.
I use podcasts heavily, and I can’t stand the new layout. Hopefully this patch tweaks that a bit.
The data usage fix may be from 9.0’s turning on “automatically use cellular date when Wi-Fi connectivity is poor.” This was causing some with very limited data plans to blow through their caps.

Agreed.
I appreciate that they do it quickly and do it free.

I thought 9.x was supposed to be about stabilizing the platform.
My 5s has numerous browser rendering issues, especially with simple sites like FR. Sometimes it chops off the left side, sometimes it shows a blank screen when rotating horizontal vertical.
I'm giving it another month before I consider moving from 8.
