I agree but the appearance in the last debate was that carly was some foreign policy genius (she’s an idiot) because she knew a few names of leaders and groups.

We’re talking about the masses here. Not what you and I see.

But I’m sure he’s being advised and it is being addressed.

So he is not an “importer”.

Does that mean he will tax all revenue coming into the country from American owned companies at a higher rate?

I didn’t think that was his stance. But I could be wrong.

No other candidate is even talking tariffs. Most of them back more job killing so-called free trade agreements.

So if I’m right, we get a very pro-American jobs president. And if I”m wrong, we’re probably still better off than with the other canididates

I think that high tariffs have been tried...it was a leading factor of the Depression.

It is frustrating to see companies move overseas. I really think that is due to high corporate taxes, unions and the “we want $15 an hour” crowd.

As long as we are here in this country, it is not illegal to move your company out of the country for profit.

Ya know,,, I had this mental picture of him running around the desk in the Oval Office, squeaking “Veto! Veto! We can’t afford that! Veto! Veto!”

He cancelled his Macy’s deal. Or Macy’s did. Or whatever. Anyway, it got cancelled just in time.
Yeah, I know Mexico isn’t overseas.

I think there is ample evidence of mexico breaking the treaty...so this should be a no brainer.

I guess it doesn’t mean anything to you folks NAFTA was an accomplishment of Ronald Reagans

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/1993/11/em371-the-north-american-free-trade-agreement

Long-Standing Support for Free Trade with Mexico. Ronald Reagan first proposed a free trade agreement between the U.S. and Mexico in his 1980 presidential campaign. Since that time, The Heritage Foundation is proud of the role it has played in articulating President Reagan’s vision of free trade in Latin America and around the world. Since the mid-1980s, Heritage analysts have been stressing that a free trade agreement with Mexico not only will stimulate economic growth in the U.S., but will make Mexico a more stable and prosperous country. Heritage has published over three dozen studies stressing the benefits of free trade in North America.

Just in time to be pretty much ignored, at the same time Trump was saying he’d make Mexico pay for a wall.
Turns out the labels on the line of men’s clothes marketed under Trump’s name said “Made in Mexico.”
There were a few news items about this several weeks ago. Google ‘em.

There was also a kerfuffle about Trump’s employees at Mar-A-Lago.
They weren’t citizens. He imported them, for low-paying but high prestige jobs many Americans would gladly have taken.
Then there was the deal where the Polish illegals sued him a few years ago. That story has really interesting details. Google Donald Trump + John Baron. Learn who “John Baron” really is.
Draw your own conclusions.
I’m really tired. Sorry I can’t do links. Good night.

“Are you competing with CW?”

NO ONE can compete with CW. Come to think about it, I haven’t been seeing much of her, since her little boy threw his tantrum.

Hopefully Trump couples his anti-NAFTA policy with busting up unions, because if he doesn’t American consumers will get DESTROYED by the cost of locally-produced products.

In other words, it’s easy to scream at China and South Korea for selling us 60 inch plasmas for $400 and support Trump when hits cuts off their exports to us...but then when American factories get to work, those same plasmas will cost around $2,000 unless some SERIOUS REFORMS are made in the areas of labor and regulations. Americans will not be happy when Canadians can still buy a plasma for $400, but we have to pay $2000 because ours are built by UAW types.

It does sound like Trump gets it on the regulation end (which is very good), but I’m really interested in what he thinks of the way organized labor has DESTROYED our manufacturing base. As I pointed out yesterday, the manufacturing base of the US Northeast and Midwest was GONE long before NAFTA existed. The unions, mainly, destroyed it.

“Yes Trump has overseas business. And he is willing to do things that will hurt those overseas business to help America.”

I am a tax preparer who thinks a flat/fair tax would be good for the country.

Great minds think alike!

Been "debating" with a few here who hate Trump for his attitude on NAFTA and other trade concessions because they disregard the overall benefits due to the potential it may cause them personal inconvenience - they claim to be principled conservatives but are welfare baby charlatans.

Keep it up Trump!!!

“For assault weapon ban but says the AR-15 shouldn’t be considered an assault weapon.”

Did he define assault weapon? What is it? I can get a Class 3 permit now under law and own an automatic weapon. Is he going to take that away from me?

“Wants to reduce income taxes and eliminate corporate tax”

Where did he say money will come from to run government?

“Will deport all illegals but will let the hard working ones go through the legal process to come back”

Cannot have it both ways deporting them ALL and then keeping the hard working ones. Also how is hard working defined. Is that with the “back” or with the “mind”.

“Wants a military so strong no one will challenge us”

Cannot cut taxes and eliminate corporate taxes and have strong military. You have to have money to pay for it. I believe in strong military to protect our homeland.

“Stressed the importance of a strong family & culture of life (2015)”

Amen

He has to come out on where he will find money on all of these tax cuts. Yes some will come from welfare reduction and illegals being evicted.

Cruz has come out with a flat tax that will work and is well documented. Trump has a 3 bracket tax proposal that is still a progressive tax system that will require a largess IRS to manage.

A flat tax system does not require a 70k IRS person staff to manage. Which is better in the long run?

Other than what I noted above Trump has a very conservative approach.

I think Trump and Cruz are our hope for tomorrow. Maybe not in that order.

Reagan was a great president. However, he did make mistakes. NAFTA being one.

Campaign on a pledge that you will raise taxes on around half the population and how far do you think you'll get?

NAFTA was another one of those deals the American people wanted no part of and yes it was/is a bad deal, there should be no problem breaking this and a whole host of other deals with the support of we the people.

Well some might say that would damage our credibility in the world, first we can’t be less credible than we are now, second we can craft a new deal, one that is in our countries best interest, lay it out insure those whom we are dealing with gets something and they can take it or leave it, if these world leaders are as smart as Trump says they are; they will take it.
