I have just looked over some websites illustrating the animal sacrifices for this Muzzie Eid festival going on right now. If they have to sacrifice animals for their religion, I could understand it--provided the animals are treated with the utmost humanity and gentleness. But every one of the photos I saw show the deepest brutality, cruelty, an affront to any deity who created these animals. What kind of deity, except for Kali, would encourage and want this bloodbath, with terrified animals tied up in uncomfortable positions and hacked at until they bled to death? There is no evidence of professional competency in these pictures--anyone who can afford to buy a goat, sheep, cow or camel is free to hack at the poor living animal until it dies.
I couldn't even stand to post pictures here. If you want to see some, just Google "Eid festival 2015". I would not recommend it before eating or going to bed.
It would have to be quick. After the temple was built and it was dedicated:
“7:4 The king and all the people were presenting sacrifices to the Lord. 7:5 King Solomon sacrificed 22,000 cattle and 120,000 sheep.”
I can’t recall, but when they brought the ark to the new temple they traveled miles, and made large sacrifices at fairly close intervals - 100 feet or something!? I’m not sure, but after reading it we commented on how long it must have taken them to travel, and how many animals it must have been.
Well, you see, they are the Other and that changes everything.
There is not a path to God that does not require a blood sacrifice. the fact that the required blood sacrifice has already been provided on our behalf is what we call the Gospel.
For YOUR religion, perhaps, but certainly not for mine. Please do not make sweeping statements that include everyone else's religion when in actuality, they only apply to yours. It is not true and it is hardly fair.
Some years back, former actress Bridget Bardot criticized Muslim bloodletting festivals in France. She was brought up on “hate-speech” charges.
The PC lefties whine about the odd animal put down at the Calgary Stampede (a very sad thing when a horse is euthanized) yet they are perfectly silent over the painful slaughter of terrified animals by moslems celebrating their blood thirsty god.
I hate this! I ask God for his mercy for the animals. Is it wrong for me to then want these people wiped off the face of the earth?
In the Muslim religion the animals sacrificed the stand for the infidels being slaughtered at the end of time when Islam rises above everyone. So it’s no surprise that they are tortured to death.
Islam is Satanic, according to the Quran Allah lives in hell feeding the fires with the infidels.
The only thing Islam is good for is wholesale late term abortions, and that is why our government is importing them.

Another interesting point about the difference between Jewish and Muslim sacrifice is the Muslims hang the pieces of the animals on fence posts and around the village to rot to simulate the smell of dead infidels in the end slaughter.
The Jews have a barbecue and everybody sits down and eats together.

In my comment I failed to emphasize to you the psychopathology of blood letting in islam . In simpler terms muslim men are head cases & it dominates their inner being-their soul , forms & shapes their personalities -& taking a human life by beheading is no different than a slaughter of lamb or goat for ritual purposes.
I don’t know if the the psychopathology of blood letting in islamic cultures has ever been studied.
On another note you may want to think back to Melchizedek the priest (not very much of him the bible either) but as Catholics one was taught the liturgy of the church includes him as a predecessor of turning from blood sacrifice to the offering of bread in wine .
Christ’s death on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice as christians know it and believer’s & those who repent are “covered” (qualified?) in His holy blood hence no more need for animal nor human sacrifices .

As a Christian I believe the only path to God is through the blood sacrifice of Christ You may have other beliefs and I respect that
