its worth noting that most of the Bond movie stories were completely unknown to Flemming. I think Flemming’s influence on the franchise disappeared long ago.
I guess they want to kill the James Bond series. I know I wouldn’t spend the time to see a politically correct affirmative action James Bond.
The current guy is actually a pretty good Bond, although the movies themselves aren’t good. They don’t keep my attention and I have not finished any recent ones. He’s got the right level of suaveness and manliness.
Bronsen is a little too feminine...although I like him in general. Moore brought a different aspect to the role.

And why would he? When Fleming wrote this Britain was almost exclusively white! I guess common sense just doesn't exist anymore.

First, I will never watch a black James Bond movie. That being said, in You Only Live Twice, he had to pass as Japanese which would be impossible if he were black. Fleming imagined the character to resemble Hoagy Carmichael and himself. As neither is black then it’s idiotic to say that there are no indications of his ethnicity.

I read all of the Bond novels as a youngster (before they became movies) and I recall specifically that Fleming described Commanmder Bond SO as a Scot.
Flemings own website linked here says he had a Scottish father and a Swiss mother. In fact, Sean Connery’s ethnicity was one of the factors that got him the role in the first place.
