Sunnyvale Man Faces Animal Cruelty Charges After Allegedly Dragging Unconscious Pit Bull Down Sidewalk Along Lawrence Expressway
Police are investigating a case of animal cruelty after reports surfaced of an unconscious pit bull being dragged down a busy Sunnyvale thoroughfare.
Manuel Holguin, 34, was walking down Lawrence expressway, hauling the pit bull along the sidewalk by its leash, police said. The 1-year-old dog was rushed to a vet in critical condition on Friday after someone called 911. LA Selected as U.S. Candidate for 2024 Olympics Dr. Ken Sawyer, the first vet to treat the pit bull, said he didn’t know her name, but confirmed that she was barely alive. Sawyer was able to stabilize the dog before transferring her to another facility for further treatment. Holguin now faces felony animal cruelty charges, according to authorities.
The pit bull was released from hospital and, as of Tuesday, was being kept in protective custody by the city, authorities said.

There is a certain demographic who treat animals, particularly dogs, as disposable property, abuse them with out mercy, turn them into vicious killers as an extension of their own sociopathic tendencies.
I arrested a man once for dragging a pit bull pup down a sidewalk so badly that the pads of his paws were gone and he was just being dragged on his belly, which was bloody too. That little guy was just so dazed and confused he couldn’t even whine.
I am usually pretty cool about the things I see, but that time I just wished it wasn’t illegal to beat this man senseless.
Animal control came and got the little guy and thankfully, he made a full recovery after some serious treatment.

Well, gosh thanks :) but truth is that I’m too small to drag a grown man very far at all.
So, I would *have* to use the Yukon and rope. LOL
I know a lot of good rocky, twisty back roads, too.
