Bra Stops Bullet in Hunting Mishap Miracle
The Local ^

A woman in Mecklenberg-Western Pomerania survived being accidentally shot in a hunting accident, Gadebusch-Rehnaer Zeitung reported on Friday – because her bra somehow stopped the bullet.

The 41-year-old tourist from North Rhine-Westphalia was on a bike ride with her husband when the incident happened.

The pair were crossing a field near the town of Gadebusch when they unknowingly entered the path of a boar hunt.

Suddenly, the woman felt a pain in her chest.

Looking down, she saw that she had been hit by a rebounded shot – but the underwire of her bra had deflected the blow.

The woman came away with just a bruise.

The woman's husband spotted the alleged shooter in the next field and immediately approached him to explain him what had happened.

"Those in charge of the hunt then broke it up straight away," said police spokesperson André Falke.

Gadebusch Criminal Commision is investigating the incident on suspicion of injury caused by negligence.

I’m pretty sure clueless tourists are the only people who would wander into the path of a boar hunt

And how does one identify a boar hunt? Do they post signs?

It’s hard to stay abreast of these incidents.

” industrial-strength, quadruple-padlocked steel-reinforced bras. “

The ones with three or four hooks in back? I learned to open them in an instant using a “snap your fingers” motion.

One thing I like about Free Republic is that sometimes you get some laughs along with the news of the day.

Now, if this article had been posted on a leftie website:

1/3 of the responses would have been violently anti-gun
1/3 of the responses would have been violently anti-hunting
1/3 of the responses would have been violently anti-bra

And none of them would have been humorous.

"Not tonight, dear, my boob has a headache!"

Many of my galpals' bras have 4 hooks, and I can open them with one hand, and to a woman they can't wait to get out of them, and I don't blame them. Eeeeee!

I figured it out pretty quickly and the number of hooks is proportional the the size of the boobs...

But despite their captivity they are amazing easy to set free.

I don’t like the ones that hook in front! I have more trouble opening them up!

Actually, here fences and/or signs that say things like “private property”, “no trespassing” etc are sufficient-in hunting season or out of it-for anyone who is smart enough to read, and doesn’t want to be arrested for trespassing, never mind shot at-but I don’t know if they do that in European countries. If an area is used for hunting-any hunting-at any given time, I would think it would be posted if it was near a tourist biking/hiking trail, just to avoid any liability.

Here wild hogs are often hunted with dogs, there are people on horseback or on ATVs running around-it is a noisy activity, as a rule. With the noise of people and one or more large hogs crashing through the woods and underbrush, with or without hounds baying-I can’t imagine that a boar hunt would be any quieter or hard to miss in some other country-but I could be wrong...
