Well what do you know? You’re still around? I bet you must have turned off the volume on Trump’s speech when he spoke of his love of Israel since, you know, based on your previous postings you hate them.
For those that don’t know of Liz’s previous Anti-Semetic postings, she was called out for them and never responded.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/gop/3319374/posts?page=58#58
Liz went after Cruz on his speech of “Defense of Christians” (the event Cruz spoke at to persecuted Arab Christians where he was forced off stage because he likened their plight to the Israelis) which Liz found offensive and accused Cruz of taking advantage of the Christian’s “goodwill”. In a similar post also called out Cruz for being a “neocon” and “war monger” in support of “NWO” “Globalist” (all her words which you can see in the previous posts, not mine).
Obviously this looks like a Ron Paulbot based on the terminology used. Judging by some of the other personal attacks on Cruz, in addition to not liking Israelis, it looks like they have something against Hispanics as well.
But don’t take my word, read the link from the previous thread and view Liz’s own words yourself. What other conclusion is there to come to regarding their attack of Cruz at the Defense of Christians forum?
And surprise, surprise, I still haven’t found any comments coming out against the Iran Nuke deal because, you know, Ron Paul loves this deal.
Agreed. Conservative refining fire will purify Trump’s message or throw him out of cycle. Depends entirely upon who he is.
The image of a citizen president is the single most powerful vision in this race. The more he is attacked by the political establishment the stronger he becomes. It is precisely because the establishment dislikes Trump that the people support him.
Face it. This is one of the most sophisticated, successful businessmen in the world, totally committed to the free enterprise system, loves the US and has a clear vision for a strong future. Oppoose that at your peril.
Only 4 of those were SITTING VPs, 2 of them from when the VP was 1st runner up. In the “ticket era” (P and VP running together) only Van Buren and Bush 1 won as sitting VPs, and both only served 1 term. Under the current model sitting VPs only win if the outgoing president is extremely popular, then they can run on “4 more year”, but 4 years later the American people have learned he isn’t the other guy and vote them out.
That's what Trump does, he excites people, and people love to hear him talking in ‘we the people speak’ instead of this drab ‘potilital’ speak that is so BORING!!!
If you don't like Trump, fine, then don't, but those of us that do, we'll let you know about it loud and clear!!!
TRUMP 2016!!!!!!!!
“How is taking Trump down going to elevate the GOP?”
The answer lies in that the Republicans win even when they lose elections. As long as the gravy train keeps running, they don’t care what happens to America.
With The Donald, they lose - the days of selling out America for booze, girls, and cash are over.
If they can eliminate Trump they win whether or not they get to the WH.
That's funny right there...
I am probably FR earliest Trump supporter.
But not for the reason most of FR's sycophants do now.
I support him not because of who he is. I find him lacking on many fronts.
I support him because I see him as the best near-term opportunity to burn the political status quo to the ground.
Yes, I'm a Trump supporter.
But I'm not blind or stupid.
No. I support Trump.
Agree with what you said 100%.
Al Gore came very close; all he had to do is win either his home state or Clintons home state to win the election. Losing both Favorite Son states is why I don't accept criticism about Florida being a fiasco. Florida should never have happened except that the home states couldn't bring themselves to vote for Gore.
Cheney was in poor health to be a credible candidate. Biden is almost 73 and may find himself in a similar fate.
Nixon probably won the 1960 election as a sitting VP, but the Democrats took it from him. He did win eight years later, but not from the White Hand the White House.
For VPs who ascended and then won outright in the next election, there are Roosevelt, Coolidge, Truman, and Johnson.

As a site poster wrote and sooo true:
The Trump Slogan:.... “Make America Great Again”
The GOP Slogan:...... “Take Out Trump”
Trumps holding the feet to the fire of the Republican Party, which is a good thing.......... God often times works in strange ways and we know there’s a “stronghold” in Washington that needs to be shaken out. I still believe God is involved in the affairs of men and he’s using Trump to break that stronghold.
Al still lost. The fact that he lost both favorite son states shows the uphill battle sitting VPs face. They bring a lot of baggage from the P they sat for. Most analysts think that if Clinton had actually been convicted and Al had been given a chance to be his own man he’d have won. But of course he wouldn’t have been sitting VP then, but it shows the problem, when you’ve been sitting VP for somebody for 8 years you’re really running as him. One of the problem Gore had is he tried to run on the Social Security Lock Box, but he was faced with the problem of if he thought the lock box was such a good idea why didn’t he bring it up to Clinton while he was raiding SS.
Cheney would have never been a serious candidate. For the same reason Bush never campaigned for McCain. Bush was too unpopular, his VP was doomed. Heck his PARTY proved doomed.
Ike very popular on the way out. Nixon probably could have won that without Checkers, that was his problem. The only he’d distinguished himself as not Ike was with a scandal.
VPs that ascend first get to establish an identity on their own. Sitting VPs are stuck with “4 more years”, but after 8 years America tends to be pretty sick of the outbound guy, sick of the whole party which is why the other guys usually win it. You see that fatigue in that second mid-tern when the party of the sitting president usually gets killed. Maybe in the days when presidents died a lot it wasn’t career over. But we haven’t had one die in office in a long time, even Nixon’s resignation is deep in the history books.
Bush did. Reagan’s biggest mistake, letting the GOPe saddle him with Bush.
The thing is, whatever we conservatives may want, if Trump gets elected he’s going to draw a lot of votes from the democrats.
Look at the cartoon character on various breakfast cereal boxes. Same thing:
(I personally consider the cereal boxes to constitute "truth in advertising" as they show the approximate energy level of a pre-teen after eating three or four bowls full.)
and the reality:
Bush was the first one to do it in 150 years. As much like his predecessor in that feat only went 1 term.
