Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle once tried to persuade a journalist to put hidden cameras in her young children's rooms, according to the woman's claims.
"I had two young children at the time, and he talked to me about installing hidden cameras in their rooms and asked me if I would choose which child I would like him to watch," Rochelle Herman said on CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360."
Herman said she has been working with the FBI for nearly a decade in its investigation into Fogle, now 37 and the father of two children under 5.
Herman told CNN that she wore wires for more than four years to record conversations with Fogle in which he talked to her "numerous times over the course of years about having sex with minors."
"He talked about sex with underage children," she told CNN. "It was just something that he really, really enjoyed."
Fogle was charged this week with possessing and distributing child pornography and traveling across state lines to have sex with minors. He plans to plead guilty to the crimes and pay $1.4 million in restitution to 14 victims.
Herman first grew alarmed by Fogle's interest in minors during a health event at a Florida school in 2007. She was covering the event for a local TV station.
"He told me that he thought middle school girls were so hot," Herman told CNN.

The really sick thing here is that this investigation was 10 years long. How many kids were molested in that time? How did they not catch him in the act once?
How would you feel if your kid was molested by Jared last year, and then found out they had been looking into this for 10 years, and recording him for FOUR?
It’s one thing for a grown man to find a 15 y.o. girl sexually attractive. That’s normal.
What’s wrong is for him to act on it - in this country and in this time.
In other times and places such attraction can lead to a proper courtship and a happy marriage.
So what took so long for the FBI to act?
I think you are right. I bet she was caught in a FBI sting and offered up Jared along with others to the FBI. it might mot of even been a sexual case that she got caught up in BUT I bet she was a abuse participant because you don’t just find out about this kind of activity. he was high profile which meant he was highly secretive about his abuse of kids.
I’m not sure he’ll last that long, even prisoners have standards and this guy is way below them.
And I cant prove it. Just a hunch. But how many innocent people have some molester walk up and say “Hey, choose which of your kids I can perv on and put a camera in their bedroom for me”.
That doesn’t happen to innocent people.
The South Park episode with Jared has a line about him giving his “Aids” to kids. “Aids” meaning helpers.

Four plus years is outrageous. Think of how many children he molested and drooled over for over four years. As if the FBI couldn't have stopped him within days. It's the same with most government undercover operations. They let the crime go on for years harming untold numbers of innocent people and they don't lift a finger to stop it.
Fogle is one sick monster but his is likely to get the bare minimum jail time and sessions with a counselor. It is documented that these pervs don't change. There is no hope for these monsters. If the judge buys into all this just because he's a rich celeb, it will be another day where justice was not served.

Look, I’m a woman. From the time I was 14 men made passes at me, cat called me, harassed me, tried to pick me up. Not because I dressed or acted provocatively. Just because I was young and pretty and had breasts. They were jerks; I hated it, but they were normal jerks. Some of them were polite enough about it that I guess they weren’t jerks.
When I was 18 I met the man who is now my husband - that helped with the men who knew me, but not the others.
When I was 24 I started taking karate and got something of a “do not mess with me” attitude. That helped some more.
When I was 26 I had a baby which pretty much put me on the “leave alone” list. Yes, I lost the baby weight.
From the age of 14, until I was pregnant or had a baby in my arms - that
was when men were after me the most - when I was young and nubile and not knocked up by some other guy. You may not like it but that’s how it was.
If you are a man, and never hassled a teenage girl, even when you were a teenager, thank you.
But if you thought a 15 y.o. girl was sexy and beautiful when you were 12, or 15, or 18, why should you stop thinking that when you are 25? She is still sexy and beautiful; she is just the wrong age for you.
Now my daughters are that age, the younger just beginning to be a woman.. They and their classmates are very fresh and beautiful. I get the attraction. The wrong is in acting on it.
Inside they torture and kill child molesters.

You may wish it were so.
Many, if not most prisons segregate sex offenders and they manage to serve their terms and get out, fully ready, willing and able to commit even more sex crimes.
Look at your local or state sex offender registry, it’s full of names of ex cons who served their terms and got out in good health.
I have one friend who served hard time. I am depending on his word.
I’d say I was pretty consistently interested in my own age group. I’ve seen “adult” males express interest in teens and it grosses me out.
I think you can acknowledge that a kid is “good looking” without a sexual aspect. If someone is actually mature they tend to see sexual attraction as something more than a physical impulse in response to visual stimuli.
When Black friends married Asian women their kids tended to be “gorgeous.” As toddlers and small children you hear people raving over their “beauty.” That doesn’t equate with sexual desire.
