New features let you cheat your way through 'Final Fantasy VII' on iOS

Video games are hard — unless they're Square Enix mobile releases with built-in cheats that let you focus on the story.

Such is the case with Final Fantasy VII, which comes to iOS with some new features in place for those that would prefer to eliminate any challenge from the game. First is the ability to turn off the game's random encounters, meaning you can wander the world without worry and focus only on the major, story-linked battles.

Eliminating random encounters breaks the game; you need to fight smaller stuff so that you can level up and take on the boss encounters. That's where the other iOS-specific feature comes in: Max Stats. Switch this on to power your characters all the way up, so even bosses don't stand a chance.

I’m not big on video games, but what’s the point of playing if you have to cheat?

Depending on the game, the graphics can be fun to watch.

For most people, who use the cheats, they’ve already played the entire game without cheating. They want another round so they can get the rare weapons or armours or items. They might also want, for tho game, the ability to breed the gold chocobo, like a colorful ostrich, which allows travel over any terrain. They might also want to complete the quests they missed when they originally played.

The death of Aeris was a real sad event and IMHO, a little too early in the game.
