BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) - Three people were shot Monday while sitting in a car in Roxbury. This comes, ironically, on the same day as Boston's Night Out and Mayor Marty Walsh and BPD Commissioner William Evans are begging for help from the community.
The shooting occurred around 1 p.m. in the area of Academy Terrace.
“I’ve got as many cops as I can possibly have in this area, yet it doesn’t seem to stop the violence in the neighborhood,” Evans said.

Most violence in the nation comes from Democrats.
The number one reason that I don’t just sit in a car, in today’s world...
I knew in the 60s/70s to stay out of Roxbury. It was a No Go Zone even then.
Situational awareness, and watch those who even look at you, or leave.
If we would just ban cars these things would not happen...

Boston needs common sense anti-murder laws.
Yep I’ve heard Roxbury is a bad neighborhood. But to be PC we can’t say what types of people are there.
Dang, nobody sat in a car in Roxbury, even in the 70’s as quick a drive through as possible to get to the back bay from the south shore. Guess somethings haven’t changed at all.
While waiting for red lights at the signals, you could see the Money change hands from the johns to the Prostitutes. That happend in the 70’s. Roxbury was a hell hole even then. Cops just looked the other way.
Over the years I have read a lot of news stories that include people being shot while sitting in cars. Enough to make me realize the danger of this.
Plus it makes carjacking much easier. At least if the car is moving most of the time it is harder for someone to force his way in.
