The Skeletons Keep Falling Out of Scott Walker's Closet

Scott Walker. Now with extra "splainin' to do.

Thanks to a legal filing by Cindy Archer, former top aide to then Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker, we now have more information on how the first John Doe Probe was born. It turns out that the John Doe Probe became necessary because of the lack of cooperation and obstruction by Walker's own office.

We have known that it started with an investigation into money missing from the accounts of Operation Freedom which provided services to families of veterans. This money, formerly handled by an American Legion Post, was ordered to be transferred to a group controlled by one of his aides by Scott Walker. After the transfer and with the funds now in the control of the Walker aide, money started to go missing. Walkers Chief of Staff, Tom Nardelli, went to the Milwaukee County District Attorney to ask for an investigation.

It was during this investigation that other irregularities were found involving possible illegal campaigning in government offices, bid rigging, and improper campaign contributions along with possible violations of Wisconsin Open Records laws (yes, even back then Walker was avoiding scrutiny). And this, we have been told is what led to the original John Doe Probe.

So, what's new today that we didn't know?

"The County Executive's Office was uncooperative and obstructed the District Attorney's Office's efforts to obtain documentation of the County's receipt and disbursement of donations from Operation Freedom," the filing from two investigators in Chisholm's office reads. "As a consequence, the District Attorney's Office was forced to petition a John Doe proceeding in order to have legal mechanisms to obtain relevant documentation from the County Executive's Office."

(bolding is mine)

That's right. It was Walkers own actions of not cooperating and even obstructing the investigation that created the need for the John Doe Probe in the first place.

The hypocrisy thickens.

Those of us who remember the original JD know that all Walker talked about was how "cooperative" he was with the DAs office and about how much Walker, the well known micromanager, "didn't know" what was going on mere feet from his desk. And as 6 of his closest aides and associates were indicted and convicted he kept repeating those claims.

Despite the "smoking gun" email, Walker continued to express ignorance of what was going on in his office.

"We cannot afford another story like this one," Walker wrote in the email, quoted in the criminal complaint that came out Thursday. "No one can give them any reason to do another story. That means no laptops, no websites, no time away during the workday, etc."

The email, sent to Tim Russell (who had installed the secret router that Walker aides used to clandestinely do campaign work and fundraising when they were supposed to be doing Milwaukee County government business), says that Walker knew exactly what was going on. Russell, who no longer worked in the County Executives Office at that time, was contacted to clean up the mess.

And now Walkers other meme - that he cooperated with the DAs office - has fallen apart, too.

He's left with only 1 talking point now. "I was never charged". And, with the massive amount of evidence we've seen, I wonder how he got away without an indictment.

Don't worry about Walker, though. His super PAC just reported $20 million sweet dollars in the bank to be used to propagandize the voters and the billionaires he serves so well will keep the bucks rolling in.

And, I'm sure, he's developing another line of BS to use in case he gets asked about these revelations. It's unlikely, however, since the Saturday edition of the newspaper is the least read. Ditto weekend local news casts.

Almost not worth replying to its so full of c*(*. The extensive cI(* we in Wisconsin have heard for FIVE YEARS. Only now we get to hear it on our conservative website from a confused smelly poster.

Things to know:

1. Walker’s office REQUESTED the original investigation for embezzlement and his widely respected COS was incredulous that it expanded to a wide ranging ‘John Doe’.

http://www.wpr.org/new-documents-show-top-walker-aide-distrusted-john-doe-start

2. “”””In Friday’s filings, investigators said they believed Archer had been involved in illegal campaign activity, possible bid rigging, and possible open records violations.”””

But after FIVE YEARS of SWAT TEAM assaults on conservative’s homes, thousands of emails, unannounced wiretaps and ISP email account seizures, and coercion of the guilty, lower level Walker employees THEY COULD BRING ANY SUPPORTABLE CHARGES.

3. Time for good old conservative common sense. Would Archer be initiating a law suit against the fascist DA for civil rights violation if she were afraid that evidence of her wrong doing would be exposed?

4. The Walker hating newspaper article fails to mention that there is already discovery on-going from another John Doe victims lawsuit which their lawyers described as progressing very well.

5. Most oddly the article does not detail that the Wisconsin Supreme court followed TWO federal rulings that the investigation had no basis in ‘reason or the law’. The WI Supreme Court introduced phrasing in their decision that SUPPORTS ARCHER’s CIVIL RIGHTS LAWSUITS.

Walker is an honorable and very Christian person.

Wisconsin fascists attacked Walker because he dared take on the deep state one-party, socialist-gangster alliance of Unions and Democrats. Walker is truly a honest politician who was able to survive this because he was playing by the rules. The socialist leftists will be smearing Walker till the day they rot in their graves.

Conservative joy loves her some fascist Democratic thugs and wants to further their goals.

Archer made a deal that what she disclosed would not be used against her.

And, THIS is my main concern about Scott Walker. He doesn’t surround himself with the best and brightest - aides or advisers. I trust that he would do the same as president.

Obviously you haven’t read the judge’s decision in the John Doe case. All material illegally taken during Chisholm’s Gestapo like raids is to be returned to the rightful owners. All copies of this material in the DA’s possession is to be destroyed. There is nothing there to look at, there never was. You are going to have to find something else to drool over. You are going to have to go somewhere else to get your schadenboner.

Troll.

Read up on the John Doe SWAT-style raids of the families involved.

You might note that the Wisconsin Supreme Court (yes, the one *with* the female justice trying to sue to keep her position on the court!) ruled there wasn't a scintilla of cause for the raids.

It's probably just a smear job, but it won't change my vote:

Ted Cruz - 2016!

Was politicus.com the only "news" agency covering this latest "revelation" about Walker? What are their sources for the info - was it maybe those who launched the politically charged probes in the first place?

FReeping minds want to know.

No, there was also articles written in Wisconsin. One of them from the Wisconsin Journal Sentinel is Printed in post 60. I could literally post at least a half dozen articles including a new one that definitely identifies Scott Walker as the person who put the repeal of the Open Records Law into the budget deal.

I used the article from Politicus because that one was sent to me by a friend. I don’t post something unless I have more than one source.

That sounds like Obama’s, not a “smidgeon” of corruption at the IRS. Tell that to the six people from Walker’s staff who were convicted.

This is being reported by all the major publications in Wisconsin, along with definite confirmation that Walker is the one who tried to repeal the Open Records Law.

Post 60 deals with the same subject about Walker withholding information. That article is from the Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.

Whatever. Maybe you’d have better luck, and find more support, sharing your dislike of Walker with more like minded people at DU. The butt hurt that Walker inflicted on them never seems to end.

While you’re researching the Open Records Law repeal attempt, check out Walker’s WEDC. He’s not going to want that brought up by the other candidates. Good Luck with that.
