Wherever you live or happen to travel to, never complain about the heat and humidity again.
In the city of Bandar Mahshahr (population of about 110,000 as of 2010), the air felt like a searing 165 degrees (74 Celsius) today factoring in the humidity.
Although there are no official records of heat indices, this is second highest level we have ever seen reported.

I can't imagine what that feels like. I wonder if there were summer die offs in all the ancient cities in that area due to the extreme heat.

The Israelis can make a lot hotter there if they’d like.

That’s why those Iranian scientists are working on nuclear powered air conditioners. Oh, and it’s caused by global warming.

Apparently, global warming isn’t all bad.
I think I’ll crank up the SUV and drive around town aimlessly for three or four hours.

I guess we now know where the Gates of Hades are for certain. And people were wondering about the origins of Islam.

Cry me a river, ragheads. I worked at an aluminum smelter years ago and on a hot summer day, the ambient temperature could hit 150 degrees. Salt tablets were necessary to prevent muscle cramps.

I used to live in Deetroit. The Heat Index is a chart that tracks temperature plus humidity. Every August there would be a temperature inversion. The temp would go to 95* or so with 100% humidity and the air got really nasty. If you look at the Heat Index graph that is off the chart.

It’s normal for it to be scorching hot in that area.
To: dfwgator
Could be worse. It could be cloudy and 3500 degrees.
