I posted a comment on my Facebook page about this, and how people are enraged about a dead lion, but seem to be desensitized to the butchering of babies and the harvesting of their parts for profit. I said this wasn’t a “left vs right issue, but an issue of humanity”. I had a friend tell me that she didn’t even know about this, researched it herself after she read my post, and thanked me. She then shared it on her page.
The media can run from this, but there is no hiding the atrocities in social media. Most people are not OK with this, once they actually find out what “this” is. Even my libby-lib boss “liked” my post.
The Libertarians are UP SET.
The few who do try to stand up for PP are quickly eaten alive by the others. They’re well informed and angry.
One Libertarian on a FB group that I’m part of said that he was strongly pro-choice until this happened. He said that he’d always thought that Pro-lifers were crazy radicals, but now he felt the urge to toss a Molotov cocktail through the window of an abortion clinic.
And he’s not the only one. More and more are saying that these videos have changed their position and perception more than anything ever had. One woman asked “Is *this* what it means to be pro-life? If so - I’m out.”
The few pro-PP who say that they stand with a woman’s right to choose and support PP are quickly reminded that THE foundation of libertarianism is personal responsibility.
They’re as riled as any evangelical church right now.
Believe it or not, many are actually calling for the removal of the rape option.
I had a lefty tell me the same, that abortions after first trimester were illegal and that she had never heard of anything like this. I grabbed the nearest computer and dug up some info for her. she just kept repeating that she had never heard of it before.
I said, well you listen to government sponsored NPR. why do you think you are getting all the news?
the longer a pregnancy goes on the more of a problem I have with a abortion. I decided that the line is so blurred on when a fertilized egg is more then a fertilized egg that its just easier not to allow abortions unless it is a medical emergency and the life of the expectant mother is in significant danger.
Did CNN mention anything about the Planned Parenthood selling of baby parts? I have been watching Fox so I don’t know if CNN has done anything on it.
But the almighty Supreme Court can never be wrong, can they?
