Bombastic US billionaire Donald Trump handily leads all fellow Republicans in the 2016 presidential race by wide margins, a new Quinnipiac University poll said Thursday.

Trump plunged into the crowded Republican nomination battle last month, and has since uttered insults about Mexican immigrants and caustic jabs at rivals that has kept campaign media attention focused squarely on the real estate mogul.

Don’t worry about Trump’s numbers against Democrats, he hasn’t started campaigning against them, or towards their voters. Reagan had the same numbers (maybe worse) in 1979.

Being 12 points down against The Wildebeest at this point is actually pretty darn good so far.

Right. No way could Hildabeast could maintain any lead for any significant time in a general election against Trump.

Yep, right now Trump needs to sow up the Republican nomination. He’ll then have plenty of time to pivot towards the Wildebeest or whoever he ends up against.

I think the upcoming debates will give a clearer picture of the voting public, if indeed the pollsters will do their work without bias.

If Kasich can match this poll (5%) on the other polls due to be released over the next few days, he will get to debate and bump someone else out of the top 10.

Ind 34, Dem 30, Rep 26.... The first thing I look at.
Besides : The gender gap explains the whole difference. If Trump gains 7 points (switch) overall with both men and women he will cover it. This is registered voters. Likely would br +3 more Rep. Men Trump +1 Women Clinton +24 I can easily see it being Men Trump +15 Women Clinton +10 eventually particularly if Trump has a female VP like Fiorina...

Quinnipiac = Clinton Pollsters

Remembering this adds perspective campaign season after campaign season.

So many though are for Jebbie because they know only him and Trump, and Jebbie will become the repository of “anti-Trump” voters.

#6 one of the greatest joys of the current antics...let them know what it’s like to see their hopes and dreams slip away, just the same as it has for real Americans these past 6 years...

Bombastic? LOL... The libs really are scared.

I saw Walker and Perry on Fox this morning. Walker was pretty straightforward, but wasn't asked any really hard questions.

When Perry came on he acted as if he were programmed and when asked about illegal immigration, diverted the conversation by answering a similar, but totally different question - typical politician. His answer was a repeat of something he'd said a couple of minutes before. He certainly made me think that he would be very weak on immigration. He also tried bring up the McCain dead horse to beat again.

Trump, on the other hand, says honestly what's on his mind, the pundits and talking heads be damned, and he calls a "spade" a spade. That's what we need to turn this Country around.

Not to mention if Trump gets the GOP nomination he will likely be facing Biden or somebody as Shrillary is fading fast.
