If he simply forces every pertinent federal agency to follow immigration law to the letter, and sic his AG and DOJ on any state or municipality that refuses to do the same, the vast majority of illegals will self-deport.
Heck, we wouldn't have to build a wall at all, if the freebies and jobs were cut off. Illegals can't exist here without that support.
There is already double fencing below San Diego and walls at many places, just no where near enough. And Congress authorized 700 miles of double fencing in the Secure Fence Act of 2006. W never wanted to build it and it might not have been funded, but I think it is still a law that is in force.
Most likely environmental groups would try to halt some construction, but I think they could be defeated, and maybe judges even ignored because it is a matter of national security.
Yes—the law is that those “good people” who are here illegally now need to go home and stay home. They’re not even eligible to visit our country for 10 years—and that’s not counting all the other identity theft felonies they likely committed if they were working here illegally.
Trump saying, as different GOPe pols have proposed from time to time, that they have to go home and visit their families before they are given amnesty is still giving them amnesty. It is wrong and our country won’t recover from it.
I will never give up. I was just thinking about what opposition Trump would face implementing his plan.
There are very powerful, extremely evil humans that will fight him every inch of the way.
Regarding illegal immigration, to me the most important thing is to finally secure the borders so that illegal crossing are stopped for good. As for what to do with the people that are already here illegally I don’t have any problems with what Trump is proposing.
Personally I put as much or more blame on our criminally irresponsible politicians that all but put out a red carpet for the illegals, then the illegals themselves. These disgusting politicos are at a minimum guilty of enticing the illegals to come over and if there was justice they should suffer the bigger punishment.
Doesn’t mean we should lie and delude ourselves about Trump’s position.
I’ve done neither. Trump is NOT for amnesty.

You can’t allow people to break the law just because you’re afraid they’ll get mad. I guarantee you they will get mad. Tough. Decent people are owed a lawful society. They gave a little bit of their liberty to have a lawful and safe society.
Third party for Jeb? Naah. I think Jeb is the big democrat that Kristol says is likely to enter the race soon.........

Yes, there are powerful, evil people who want to destroy Trump. Yes, he would face extreme opposition...from Dims AND RINO’s/Elites...to his plan.
We need a powerful leader to lead US against this evil force. Trump may just be that leader.
None of them—I’m not debating that.
But to pretend that Trump’s position isn’t what it is is delusional.
That would be ideal.
Is what is going on fair to anyone? Is it lawful?
If you followed the law that is just the way it is supposed to be.
Compromise is the only practical solution and the only posotion that even has a chance of a start.
