Jeremy Telford has broken the world record for the largest balloon structure created by an individual.

The balloon dog, on display in the US state of Utah, measured 65ft (19.8m) by 32ft (9.8m), which a Guinness World Record official said "blew the old record out of the water".

Doesn’t qualify if it can’t stand up. :0)

A serious question. The alignment etc. of the out balloons seems awfully perfect. Is this made entirely of the same size balloons everywhere? Or is there a set of very much larger balloons or other structure used as the base (inner structure?)

I think that sculpture does a good job in showing the abuse of the working man, by corporate America. The fact that the dog is on its side, as if dead, shows how today’s minimum wage worker feels (except for Seattle and a few other cities that are $15/hour). The people walking around it represent corporate executives circling for a piece of meat from the worker (i.e., slave labor). This work goes very far to show just how abused today’s worker is - and clearly illustrates that only a Democrat President (specifically Bernie Sanders) can right such abuse.

(my attempt at being an art critic)

I wonder about shot penetration. It might go through end-to-end (they’re just balloons) or the bullet might be stopped surprisingly early. Good physics experiment.

Done with water balloons and a 44 mag:

No water, lots of penetration (so to speak).

“my attempt at being an art critic”

Or, it could be an attempt to find anything at all meaningful in this effort.

The artist should have been more inclusive with variety of rainbow fruit baloon colors.

True...pink is certainly a start, but a rainbow would further illustrate the ABJECT HOMOPHOBIA that exists in everyone that is not gay.

As a professional art critic I am impressed by the uniformity of elements creating a uniform structure. All elements and structures are completely interchangeable resulting in an overall creation of no particular dimensionality.
The effect of the piece is a genuine sense of meaningless activity. A glance is as good as a prolonged stare. The piece is a remarkably effective effort to create nothing out of something, an insightful witness into our current political, social and moral climate.

He should have filled the top half of the dogs balloons with helium.
