"He says all the right things, he stood up to McConnell, Code Pink etc. But he sounds meek, he's boring to watch and to listen to. When he wants to appear concerned in interviews he looks like he's acting and he has no charisma..."

THAT was my impression in the beginning, and he hasn't chasnged much as the campaign continues, but he IS a quieter voice, which may or may not be advantageous

As noted before ... we still have a lot of time to formulate OUR thoughts and THEY still have a lot of time to formulate THEIR positions

Maybe Trump traditionally would never take a second seat .... that is not to say he might consider one now

I am not the same man I was a year or two ago

Can’t argue with THAT fact.

I don’t think so. Trump is running for President. If he does not win he will go back to being a billionaire.

I love Cruz but his polling is abysmal right now. I hope he gets a bump out of the first debate as I expect only him and Trump to shine. But if he does not move up he would be wise to try to cut a VP deal with Trump if Trump goes all the way. Or AG or a Supreme Court appointment.

Most people outside of FAUX news, Freerepublic and DC don't even know who he is.

"Faux" News — wow, what a clever remark! I've never seen that before! You are really, really witty, there, with that kind of double entendre! Amazed that no one else has ever thought of that before!

Contractor. Build the damn wall.

He'd build it with guided tours, a golf course and guest amenities on the U.S. side — LOL. But seriously, it really would take immense power and cooperation from our behemoth gubmit establishment to get it done. That may be why he believes it can only be done from the top down.

This is not a premature endorsement of DT by me; just an observation of what it would take to get it built — a massive concerted effort of many federal and state agencies, either to cooperate or get out of the way. As opposed to what has happened to the pipeline, or desalinization plants for California, or north shore drilling, etc etc. Envirowackos alone would find some endangered species of chupacabra to prevent laying the first stone of a wall.

No, probably on both sides!

Rick Perry who disdainfully said Donald was a "cancer" on the Repub party has flopped down to 4%.
Mr Obvious--the flailing Cruz, tried to latch onto the soaring Trump aura also collapsed
(Perry and Cruz disintegrated to 2% in some polls).

NOTE Obama is having involuntary bowel movements at the mention of the name "Trump."
John McCain and Mitch McConnel are GOPeeing all over the Senate.

W/ Donald at the top of the polls, other candidates are reacting unfavorably:

Hillary is ordering double-duty Depends.

Bernie Sanders is burning copies of "Das Kapital."

Lindsey Graham is having fainting spells.

Chris Chrisie is wasting his lapband w/ compulsive eating.

Jeb is erasing his name from the book "Crown Princes of US Politics."

George Pataki is up in Dannemora looking for an escape route.

Cruz is smart enough to realize that if he says such things he stands a good chance of getting Trump’s support when Trump’s campaign implodes. You should be too.

Well yeah, but I doubt Trump’s campaign is going to go anywhere but do more presidential campaigning. These two genuinely like each other. Cruz is also playing long ball that many don’t seemed to understand or want to think about, and that likely means his presidency may come in later years. He’s thinking multi-dimensionally and not tic tac toe.

Many conservatives have fallen for Trump’s ruse. Cruz wants their support. Cruz is smarter than many believe. He’s certainly smart enough to play Trump and his followers.

He certainly has the right experience and he has the chops to restore our military to what it used to be.

Exactly. And, apart from any internal perspective, his battlefield record should indicate to both our allies and potential foes around the world that here is a no-nonsense operator. For that reason alone, it is easy to imagine that he would be very high on the list of either Cruz or Trump.

Vice President.
He could still handle all his business dealings and would totally occupy the Liberal press while the real happenings go on without them getting in the way.

I think Cruz will make a fine Vice President for the Trumo administration. Col West, Sec of Defense.
