Oh, I get it. You simply don't know any "people who live in {Detroit], and...are very good people, very hard-working people, and they pay their bills and their taxes and raise their kids and go to Church, etc."
It's important to feel superior to someone else, I suppose.
Actually, I do know some people who LIVED in Detroit, but they left in the 1970s.
Now my only contact with Detroit are the cases I handle there.
